If you’re looking for a tattoo in the Brighton area look no further. I had an all day session with paolo on Wednesday and he executed my lion to an amazingly high standard, the detail is incredible. He was very gentle and I couldn’t recommend him highly enough you can see why his waiting list is so long. I then had an hour session with Will on Sunday who also executed the 3 small designs incredibly well and is a top guy to add too. I’m so happy with the 4 pieces I had done by paolo and will. All the staff are very friendly making you feel welcome from the second you walk in the studio, offering teas etc and making conversation to put you at ease. The after care is great too as I have popped back in a couple of times with questions and the staff have all been very informative and helpful answering all the questions I have had. I will definitely be going back again and wouldn’t think of ever going anywhere else, I’m so happy I chose the blue dragon. Read Less

I found Blue Dragon after visiting almost every tattoo studio I could think of for cover-up advice on an ill-fated back piece I got done elsewhere. The studio's owner, Mick, was welcoming, friendly, helpful and realistic in his advice but never gave the sense that he was out to sell anything or get me in the diary. Long story slightly shorter: Will Barbour-Brown took on the daunting task of making my back look good and did a phenomenal job - all of it done freehand to duck and weave around the mess that was initially there. Will has also done two full sleeves for me and, just yesterday, a fantastic black-and-red piece on my shin. I've also hired Sarah Lu for a full leg sleeve on the other leg. All hand-poked. That's underway and looks amazing so far - very different in texture to machined tattoos. I would now feel confident just throwing an idea at either of them and trusting them to just run with it. The whole environment at Blue Dragon is welcoming. Everyone who works there is lovely. Just be prepared to do battle with a busy diary - or plan ahead and book early - as they seem to be in high demand. Read Less

I got my first tattoo done here in December, and the Blue Dragon is THE place to get tattooed in Brighton. From the art on the outside of the building to the downstairs work area, you're surrounded by creativity. Honestly has the greatest vibe as soon as you walk through the door. Got a tattoo by Sarah and it is incredible! The line work is the best I've seen and the shading really brought the tattoo to life. I couldn't be happier with it and I will definitely get more tattoos at the studio. The lady at reception was incredibly rude, and very curt towards me which is unfortunate because now it has put me off from getting a tattoo there now. Suggesting I get a huge tattoo and not being flexible, It's up to the tattooist themselves to consult with me not the receptionist. I visited Blue Dragon to have a hand poked tattoo done by Sarah Lu. The whole experience was so awesome! Right from my initial email to Sarah, she has been amazing. During my consultation with her she knew exactly what sort of tattoo I was after and then came up with a beautiful design that far surpassed what I had in mind! After getting recommended by a colleague, I booked myself in for some work last year with Trud. He initially did a design, I'd put together to go on my wrist, then last month he did a cover up on my left shoulder. Both pieces were expertly done.
