Got two tattoos on the same day. One was perfect, the other one looks really wonky and some of the line work is uneven, the shading on part of it is also a little strange and had little thought behind it. Both healed great but quite disappointed with one. I thought it would look better when it's healed but it doesn't. They may offer to fix it for me, however I'm not local. Read Less

I had been looking for a few years to get my sleeve started and I saw dan arietti work and thought it was amazing !! Every where I've looked just didn't catch my eye like dans work ! All you have to do is give him a general idea and what he comes up with is amazing ! He started drawing on my arm with a pen it just looked like a load of lines to me. And when he finished I was speechless. Literally so so happy with the start of my sleve . Every one I've showed it to thinks it's absolutely amazing ! ... The artists that work there are So laid back and generally nice people ! I would highly recommend them to any one !!! I can not WAIT for my next sitting ! Absolutely chuffed with my new tattoo from Harry in Lewes studio - love it! The guys there are true artists so you can totally trust them to do something special, you won't be disappointed. Absolutely mesmerised by dans work!not only on myself but also the work I've seen. Had a cover up done by him and I'm in love with his work! Lisa was fab at making me feel welcome and had everything in order ready to get down to work straight away with no time at all wasted. Absolutely love this place! I'm not covered in tattoos and only have two so really wanted to find a decent tattoo shop in Brighton considering I live here...and I think I've found it! I went to get my second tattoo here from their apprentice Nate, he is so good and made sure he was also happy with the design before tattooing me, which goes to show how concientious he is! He made such a great effort to give me what I wanted and I'm so pleased. I can't praise him enough! All the staff are super friendly (Lisa and Dan) and its such a nice place to get tattooed. I really am not one to slag off other tattoo shops but I have been to a couple and the reception you get isn't as warm and welcoming as it is at Black Sails Tattoo. Anyone thinking of getting a tattoo definitely have it done here. I never write reviews this is the first one I've ever written as I felt recognition is definitely needed for such a great tattoo shop. So pleased with them that I'm getting more tattoos this week! I think if I want anymore that Black Sails would be the place to go for me. My loyalty definitely lies with them! :) xxx Read Less
