Every gig I've been to there has been insane. If it wasn't for the smaller venues like the Boileroom, giving us shows closer to home and more financially viable, a lot of people couldn't go to gigs. Every Monuments show has been perfection, even when Chris lost his voice and we ended up having an instrumental show. To this coming July when Jinjer show up. Thank you Boileroom, and smaller venues. TOTALLY UNPROFESSIONAL - AVOID! Tried to take my son to see live music, was repeatedly questioned about his age even though he was old enough. I’m mid 40’s being interrogated by a door supervisor like I have a reason to lie to get in! This is not the O2...it’s Boileroom’s Guildford! Alexine did an amazing job covering/reworking an awful tattoo I had. The artwork looked amazing, especially once healed. She wasn't very chatty (was clearly concentrating on the tattooing) but was friendly throughout and made the tattoo process as comfortable as possible. Sadly my healing with this tattoo was horrendous, however I can't say that was the artists fault as was likely either due to being allergic to the cream I was using to heal the tattoo, or the ink used. Saw the legendary Hayseed Dixie this week and I was unsure about attending due to unknown wheelchair access. Not sure who she was but someone got us to the front to see and thanks to security for brut force getting the double doors open. I had high expectations of the Boileroom and the act playing, Ward Thomas, were superb. Sadly the venue has a flat floor and allows about 1/3 more people in than is comfortable. Couldn't see anything and I'm 5' 11" tall. Many of the women present saw nothing at all. Perhaps an OK venue for unpopular acts but for sell out gigs you're best off elsewhere. Read Less
