Had my nose pierced here 2-3 months ago which got infected. When i asked them to take the piercing out which was a nose ring and i couldnt get it out they tried to charge me £5, i said £5 to move a piece of mental? I only decided last July to get a tattoo, and at 52 that was quite a decision for me. All I can say is that I have just had number 5/6 done (subjective view on one being fill in or not) and I couldn't be more pleased with the work I have had done. I have had pieces by Chilli and Mel and they are all fantastic and I couldn't recommend their professionalism, skills and advice enough. Yes, sometimes they have to give you advise you were not expecting, but come on, this is their living and reputation so they know best what can and should be done. Had my 3rd tattoo done at Vivid Ink today. Mel created my first 2 pieces with incredible detail & colour and with my 2nd even added some free hand detail if I should wish to add more which I thought was really clever. Today Mantas did a phenomenal piece interpreting a dual swan design that I'd provided into a stunning celtic inspired piece incorporating my husband's initials and a beautiful heart. The dot work Mantas did is so intricate, the attention to detail is amazing and he really spent time ensuring size and position was absolutely correct. It was so relaxing too. Had a clock and roses tattooed on my forearm Friday by the wonderfully talented Seb. It was the time my little boy was born and right from the minute he introduced himself, his attention to detail was amazing, he made sure it all looked right on my arm and the roses were perfectly positioned before confirming I was happy. Not only is he a lovely guy, I couldn't stop watching him whilst doing it, even with me chatting, his concentration and work was incredible. Was nervous going in to the shop as it was my first tattoo, however I must say Mel was fantastic! she was friendly, welcoming and really made me feel like i was in good hands! She designed a great looking tattoo with the rambling mess of a brief I gave her, and she was so quick making the tattoo I was quoted 2/3 hours complete within 1 hour without compromising on quality! I have been to vivid ink twice now in the month once for a galloping horse tattoo with Mel which I love! Mel was fantastic so much so a few of my friends are very keen to use her now (including my companion on the day) I have also had a tragus piercing done just yesterday and again top notch service! Both have been easily done and very comfortable as piercings and tattoos go! I required a very special tattoo I'm memory of my deceased daughter, the design was relatively simple but also technically challenging to get 100% right. I was recommended to seak out Mel. From the minute of meeting me I knew I had made a great choice of artist and I mean that in every sense of the word. She was incredible. The tattoos done here are really good and I have no problems with the artists work but the customer service and overall customer booking procedure is a joke! I phoned to make an appointment to discuss my wife having her first tattoo as we live over 30 miles away and didn't want to make a wasted journey. I was told by the women on the phone that no appointment was necessary and to just drop in even after I'd explained we lived over 30 miles away. My wife has been today and wa...s told to look on the internet and Facebook for ideas of what to have and no artist was available to talk to! (Maybe should of been told this on the phone before a 70 mile round trip!) when my wife explained what she wanted as a design she was told it was an old design type of tattoo and wouldn't be very good.( this is why we wanted to arrange speaking to someone to get some advice etc) Needless to say she won't be having a tattoo from here, really disappointed with this experience and think it's a joke the way you are treated when you call up and enquire about getting some advice, told to pop in then drive 70 mile round trip to be told to go look on the internet! I have been tattooed, laserd and pierced and can honestly say I have never felt so at home and comfortable within an environment which you would normally feel on edge in!
