Got a helix piercing done here nearly two weeks ago. I was really impressed by the service- all friendly and very knowledgeable staff from reception through to the piercing guy (didn’t get anyone’s name, sorry!), particularly in relation to the detailed advice given about care and healing times. Very clean and hygienic atmosphere without feeling overly “sterile”. I know it’s early days but my piercing seems to be healing up nicely and has given me no problems. Also very reasonably priced. I had the most fantastic experience as a walk-in at Thou Art last week. I popped in to discuss getting my first ever tattoo, and after the artist had spent time getting the positioning just perfect, and putting my very nervous mind at ease, I decided to just go ahead and do it! It was quite an emotional design, and the artist Terry just totally got it. I wasn't expecting to be treated with such patience, humour and generosity - and I cannot express how happy I am that I popped in on a whim and completed my story with these guys. Absolutely top notch people, service and end result! I'm really, thrilled with the tattoo, totally overwhelmed by the experience, and will be highly recommending Terry, Thou Art, and everyone there to all and sundry! Brilliant experience from start to finish. Went in with my sister, called before hand and they were really helpful and friendly on the phone. Was nervous to go here as have been a while ago and not had a good experience with the reception staff or the employees at the time (I understand that there have been some changes!). Got there and the woman we spoke with at reception was so lovely, talked me and my sister through every option, piercings, location, jewellery, price etc, and she spent so much time with us helping to pick out different jewellery. The piercer was also brilliant, he was really professional and talked through every thing he was doing, he took his time and we didn't feel rushed at all. He changed my sisters jewellery in her ears for free, and spent loads of time picking the best place to pierce our ears - showing a lot of knowledge about anatomy. Both people we dealt with were really knowledgeable and so helpful, and they made sure to give us solid aftercare advice. I can't rave about them enough now! Will definitely keep going back. I've always gone to Thou Art, and for the past 5 years I've had all 11 of my piercings done here. They are so friendly and professional, the shop kooks amazing and the prices are perfect. Can't recommend these guys enough. Very friendly talkative staff, well laid out shop, and was able to get an appointment on the day. Tom who did my tattoo ensured I saw the new needle and that everything was clean and safe. Very nice studio. Great shop, very clean, very nicely appointed, and the staff is great. Upstairs is a nice merch section, and basically a store, downstairs is where the business gets done.Tacho took a day to draw up the piece I had in mind, based on my grandfathers anvil. He NAILED it! Great old school style, in keeping with the rest of my work. I couldn't be more pleased with the tattoo, now about 4 years old. Great experience. everyone was very down to earth, laid back, and professional. A nice break from some of the more typical tattoo/piercing parlors. You get what you pay for. If you are putting on your body for all eternity, DON'T CHEAP OUT. It's lasts a lifetime, and you have to live with it. You are getting a one of a kind, all yours, unique piece of art, don't skimp. I use to get sticker shock, but, at the end of the day, again, you get what you pay for. Read Less
