Short story: I had a cut, went back to fix it and had to pay as for normal cut again. So £36 for a cut. Long story: I had my hair cut here couple of times, always was happy with it and were happy to come back. It was my first visit (on Monday) after they expanded and Howel was cutting my hair. I have a bad eye sight and couldn't see myself in the mirror without my specs on and I only put them on to see the finished and styled hair do. Was pretty happy about it so went back h...ome and after I washed my hair I noticed a few flaws. Not a big deal, it happens. Called them on Tuesday, explained what happened and asked if I can come to fix it. Was told I can do walk in or an appointment and I chose the latter. Got my appointment for Saturday as it was first day I could make it. Got there on Saturday and the appointment was late for 20mins (not a big deal again as I wasn't in rush) and Howel was doing my hair again. I explained that one of my sides isn't faded well and asked what's the best fix for it. Howel proposed to cut the sides shorter and higher up and I agreed. After that he asked me if I want to cut a bit from the top as well and I said if he thinks it will look better then go for it. He did as he said and I was happy with the final cut. Everything took probably about 30-40 mins and to be honest I thought it's a bit long for a fix and I was happy to pay some money (especially he cut the top as well) but I was asked to pay the full price at the counter. I was surprised and asked if it's full price for a fix and was told it is and then it got a bit awkward. I just paid it and left as it was uncomfortable but it left a bitter aftertaste. Overall I wasn't happy paying £36 pounds for a cut especially I had to go back to fix it on my only day off that week. Heard a lot about this place from other people so thought I'd give it a go. Had a beard shape and hair cut from Ricardo. The guy was excellent, great banter whilst having my cut. Great attention to detail always making sure I was always happy throughout. Would highly recommend this place and I'll definitely be heading back there for future cuts and beard shaping from Ricardo as he gave me the style I was looking for. This is an honest to god review with no BS what so ever , the guys where really helpful and friendly and for that I would hands down give this place a 4-5 stars for service ... but!! My only gripe which I hate to say was the price , the cut was ok nothing really fantastic for the price they charge compared to some fantastic traditional Barbers , but a good cut all the same .... I asked for a beard tidy/clean up ... and charged me £5 on top and it was basically a clippers over my beard ! No standard straight razor old skool clean up and shape you get at any barbers so to charge a customer £25 for a quick trim and half a shave is a bit steep! Keep the faith is the best barber shop I've ever been too. Not only does the place look awesome but they give the best hair/beard cuts in Cardiff. It's hidden away in the arcades but it's impossible not to notice when you walk past; with large windows covering the front of the shop and a motorcycle sat at the front window which for me made it rather inviting to check out. The waiting area has an Xbox and a pool table with great comfortable sofas and an array of reading material from tattoo designs to comic books. I'm in there every 2-3 weeks and they have never disappointed. They also have a tattoo studio upstairs which I've not attended but I hear great things about the artists. There will be a wait on cuts. So either book in advance or come early during their walk in times.Read Less

I came here accompanying my partner who was getting his haircut and we left overall very happy with the experience!.~ NOTES:Aside from tattoos and piercings, the barbers is pretty much male cuts only. Do NOT come here if you're a woman looking to get your hair done, all the barbers are male and they probably have no clue how to do women's hair.~ Customer Service:Really good and why it gets 5 stars! They were very courteous and shook my partner's hand as he went in. The guys have a "grungy hipster" vibe to them, but they definitely know their hair. My partner is one of those stereotypical men that have no clue how they want it cut so all the direction he gave was - "shorter". I've been with him to salons before where they keep pressing him for more information and he would get stressed out because he genuinely doesn't have a clue, but the guys here were very understanding and probably have experienced a lot of guys who don't know what to say!There was also free WiFi for me as I was waiting!~ Results:The results were great! My partner's hair looks fantastic and they were definitely thorough with their work. He's very happy with his cut and we ended up leaving a tip for the experience.£18 for a full dry cut isn't too bad at all given the quality.
