Derrick Young has 23 years experience and has developed his own style and techniques, and won many awards in the process. Clients are encouraged to think outside the box, and be as imaginative as they can be so that we can create an extraordinary piece of art that they’ll love forever. We also do a selection of above the waist piercings and microdermals. Appointments required for tattoos.

Got my 1st tattoo here and it was a great experience, being very nervous for it I was made to feel welcome instantly and answered all of my questions/worries with ease, ensured a clean environment, and new/sterile needles etc., Derrick was very chatty which takes the mind of the fact he's doing the tattoo and was quite enjoyable having friendly debates about everything and anything. Price was good, you pay for a great quality, lasting piece of art rather than a cheap piece that will fade quicker. Aftercare has been easy and the instructions given have been very easy to stick to. Overall, highly recommend Hammer God, although it might seem somewhat pricey, you pay for quality work, clean environment, and an artist with great experience that actually cares about his work. Will definitely go back!

Great experience! Morag took a lot of time (and emails) to go through my idea with me and perfect it, even though it was pretty simple. Derrick is a great tattoo artist, explains everything he does, is very gentle and also a great conversationalist! Would be absolutely perfect for someone who's a bit nervous about getting inked, as you can tell he has a lot of experience. The third guy who worked there was really helpful as well, I can deifinitely recommend this studio!

Derrick is very very attentive at what he dose, you can tell he is a true artist. He makes you feel at ease, and more importantly explains every detail to what's going on I can only describe his work ...
Derrick is very very attentive at what he dose, you can tell he is a true artist. He makes you feel at ease, and more importantly explains every detail to what's going on I can only describe his work as 100% sastifactory.
His wifel is also great at explaining the aftercare information and is a extremely plesent person they both look after you....VERY impressive set-up...flawless.

I had my peacock tattoo done yesterday and boy do i love it.Derrick is a very talented tattooist and i would reccomend him to anyone.His wife Morag is so helpful too.

Derrick Young has an amazing shop and does brilliant work. I recently had the chance to visit Scotland and I immediately set up an appointment with Morag, the studio manager, who was so wonderful!!!!...
Derrick Young has an amazing shop and does brilliant work. I recently had the chance to visit Scotland and I immediately set up an appointment with Morag, the studio manager, who was so wonderful!!!! Derrick had done some pieces for me over 20 years ago and I was very excited to have him work with me again! My request was simple, a snake on my left lower leg. When you work with a talented artist such as Derrick, you have to trust the artist. Forget what you think you want, give him an idea and allow him to be the expert that he is. This is what I did and the outcome was more than I could have ever wanted!!! The entire process was by far the best tattoo experience that I've ever had. The tattoo was great, the healing was great, and Derrick and Morag are amazing and talented humans.

Got my 1st tattoo here and it was a great experience, being very nervous for it I was made to feel welcome instantly and answered all of my questions/worries with ease, ensured a clean environment, and new/sterile needles etc., Derrick was very chatty which takes the mind of the fact he's doing the tattoo and was quite enjoyable having friendly debates about everything and anything. Price was good, you pay for a great quality, lasting piece of art rather than a cheap piece that will fade quicker. Aftercare has been easy and the instructions given have been very easy to stick to. Overall, highly recommend Hammer God, although it might seem somewhat pricey, you pay for quality work, clean environment, and an artist with great experience that actually cares about his work. Will definitely go back!

Great experience! Morag took a lot of time (and emails) to go through my idea with me and perfect it, even though it was pretty simple. Derrick is a great tattoo artist, explains everything he does, is very gentle and also a great conversationalist! Derrick is very very attentive at what he dose, you can tell he is a true artist. He makes you feel at ease, and more importantly explains every detail to what's going on I can only describe his work as 100% sastifactory.
His wifel is also great at explaining the aftercare information and is a extremely plesent person they both look after you....VERY impressive set-up...flawless.
