Very clean establishment, piercer's room is plastered in certificates and awards and her bedside manner (not sure if that's the correct term) was great! Had an appointment at 5:30 to get my piercing changed, rushed to get back from work for it, got there on time and the place was shut! Very disappointed ... I got my ears pierced 14 years ago at a rather poor place, and I cannot say how opposite Hook and Eye was to this - it was like a Doctor's surgery! So clean and everything was medically sealed up and professional. LOVELY staff made me feel SO SAFE and they took so much care over my wellbeing. (Thanks Flik!!) I've had eight of my ear piercings done here, and would now never go anywhere else. Everyone is always so so friendly and welcoming. You can literally pop in at anytime to get any advice on any existing or future piercings, and everyone will offer you help. What a fabulous place to go for a bespoke tattoo, a piercing, laser tattoo removal or semi permenant make up. I'm greedy I've had all of these. There's more body mods and treatments too. All of these are carried out by highly skilled, hygienic, fantastic artists. And they are artists, they take a very shaky description of what's wanted and reach into your head and extract and draw exactly what you want. A skill in itself, but that's not where it ends, the tattoo work by Miss Clara and Mr Liam and the make up by Miss Flik (the only three I've first hand experience with) is phenomenal. I literally get asked once a week asking who did my work and have handed out Hook & Eye's number many, many times. In fact a friend made a two hour round trip to see Miss Clara.
