Had a fabulous tattoo by Thomas Bates at 5 Keys. Was a bit of trouble to find at first because they have 2 studios in norwich, and no signage for the second one, but they're about 5 minutes away from each other so wasn't much hassle. The studio was clean, bright and you could tell they took pride in being very hygienic. My friend sat with me through the whole thing and there was always nice steady conversation and laughter, with Thomas. I had been recommended him by my cousins that both had tattoo's by him, and I now couldn't recommend him more! My tattoo is stunning and I cant stop smiling and looking at it. This place is amazing! So professional yet with a wonderful relaxed atmosphere. Aston designed me exactly what I wanted and I am totally delighted with my new mandalas. Being in a big room was great, lots of chatting if you want or just relax and be quiet. Also means I got to see other artists at work and chat to other customers. We all left smiling! Travelled up from Grantham and so pleased I did, Inky Joe really pleasant, relaxed chap and I instantly felt at ease upon meeting him. Very gentle with the tattoo gun and I didn't feel any pressure to talk, was just happy to lie back and listen to all the other banter going on! I had a black and grey stag on my thigh which Joe drew up from something I'd seen on Pinterest, totally different perspective on what I originally thought I wanted, end result was bloody amazing. Travelled 3 hours to have a Eagle owl on my hand done by inky joe. His work is outstanding and even though the piece isn't fully finished it looks like he's stuck a portrait on my hand! Entered Five Keys with a very challenging piece and a picky and stubborn ass mindset, but Thomas Bates still managed to amaze me with both his talent and banter. Cool af atmosphere, very clean and contemporary, good blokes indeed and very fair. I am literally overwhelmed with how beautiful he has made my leg, how comfortable he made me feel and how much I enjoyed a whole day being stabbed in the groin. Buzzed to return for something else! I ive had to hijack the wifes facebook as i dont do social media but i just had to write a review ,i had a snake piece done yesterday by inky joe and i was totally blown away by the work that he did, cant wait to show it off ,it was well worth the 4hr drive from bristol if its snakes you want this is the man to see, the studio is very clean and modern and all the staff are very freindly and laid back i had a great day and would totally recomend these guys to anyone who is after top quality work ....thanks again joe. The studio is a great little place and my first experience of having other people being tattooed around me at the same time, which was not as weird as I thought it might be. The banter and atmosphere is relaxed and fun and the music certainly helped distract me. The piece I had done, by Tom, is stunning. He made me feel at ease and was really patient with me!
