Been coming here since the early 2000's when they were in the smaller studio next door, Jim was younger, and I was naive to the addiction of tattoos. Back when all the commercial b****x doing the rounds nowadays wasn't in fashion, and custom unique pieces were unheard of. Now Jim is older, his studio has grown, his custom freehand pieces are awesome still, and it's what will always have me returning to Ritual Art Tattoo. Congrats to Luna on putting up with Jim for 10 years, and not always having Lizzi around to keep him in check. I can't praise Lizi enough so calm and patient throughout. Would never go anywhere else. Made me feel very comfortable and she knew exactly what I wanted and I've now got a beautiful second tattoo. My husband had all his work done with Jim amazing work so now im having a sleeve done with him . Im most of the way through now and cannot fault anything from the cleanliness to the professional and fun members of staff . I wouldnt use anywhere else . Had part of sleeve done with Gavin a while back top half is fine, bottom half has lost a lot of detail, and faded a lot in a few places. Nice staff and studio but just quite disappointed how the tattoo came out in the end. Read Less

Had my first sitting with Tracey yesterday for the start of my Harry Potter sleeve! The whole design is phenomenal and the end result of the first sitting is so good - the detail is amazing! My husband recommended I go here for my first tattoo, as Lizi had done all of his. Amazing experience, from booking in and being advised on which artists to consider in relation to my tattoo idea, to discussing designs with Tracey, right through to the whole day session - I was a little worried as a "tattoo virgin", and although, yes, it definitely had sucky moments after 4 hours or so, Tracey was just brilliant, kept me distracted and at ease while creating my amazing Foxy thigh tattoo. *Pre-Mention: They have not tattooed me* I can only review my experience with them. I've tried to book three separate tattoos during the last year with Ritual Art tattoo. Two were large/artistic pieces; one was plain line-art writing though. Every time the shop has refused to serve me saying "none of their artists are interested in tattooing this piece" - is my custom not good enough? I'd be paying the same rate as everyone else - one of these pieces is taking 6+ hours - so it's not tiny, waste of time pieces! I'm starting to wonder if perhaps someone there has a grudge against me? I've taken to Bobby Swallow's just round the corner instead who's quality is just as excellent. They're happy to just have your custom, rather than picking and choosing who's worth their time as a customer. So my general consensus is I cannot recommend Ritual Art, since Ritual Art repeatedly refuses to work with me and don't seem to want to take on any work that doesn't get them extra likes on Facebook. I'm upset to have to leave this review as I'd heard some great things about them online. Read Less
