Amanda, at Renaissance Tattoo, did a cover up tattoo for me yesterday and I absolutely love it. She really listened to what I wanted and then came up with the perfect design. Amanda made me feel perfectly at ease and the four hours of needle time flew by (except those bitching white highlights at the end!) Yesterday I was booked in with Amanda, to have my first tattoo. As to be expected I was extremely nervous! Amanda and the team made me feel so at ease, even before they knew it was my first tattoo. I am really particular where I get tattooed and I'm very happy to say it only happens at Renaissance. The shop itself is very stylish and clean and the team are very friendly. There is a wide variety of choices of tattoo on offer for browsing but what I tend to do is to gather my ideas and send them in advance, the shop have produced a number of custom designs around this that have blown my mind. The standard of the work, particularly the line work is excellent, I've been pleased with all of the work I have had there and will continue to be a happy customer. This is a great studio. Staff are friendly, the studio is very cool with so many interesting things to keep the eyes occupied. Very clean and sanitary etc. Niall did a superb job, end result was better than I anticipated. He took his time and worked solidly for hours until the result was better than I thought. The artist that was working, Niall, was amazing. I came in last minute and he helped me finalise my tattoo and wasn't impatient or annoyed even though he ended up staying after hours to finish it. I had a tattoo done here in December 2011 and have to say the whole experience was fantastic. I don’t have an artistic bone in my body but had an idea for a tattoo which I thought would look good so took this to the studio and was given great advice and help from the staff. A week later I went back and Tinka had created an amazing design so I booked to have the tattoo done a fortnight later. It was a fairly large piece and took over 3 hours to complete but the time flew by in the spotlessly clean and comfortable studio. The staff made me feel very welcome and relaxed and the resulting tattoo that Tinka completed is well beyond my expectations and better than I could have possibly imagined.
