Studio One is a tattoo shop found on Piccadilly Square in the centre of Caerphilly.This tattoo studio has been the subject of much debate over the years, with many professing their love for the place and an equal number of people confessing their distain. Having had a tattoo inked here myself, I can give a fairly good first hand review of Studio One.The facilities are clean and there is a good selection of pre-drawn artwork for you to choose from. The staff are both friendly and helpful and can ink a fairly good tattoo once you're in the chair; however, if you're looking for something of a better standard than "fairly good", it's worth shopping around first.This isn't to say that the artwork isn't good, but it really depends on the design that you're after. If you want an intricate piece of artwork done, this is not the place to go as the lines drawn tend to be quite thick and chunky, and look even more so as the years go by. I am by no means an expert on tattoos but I do know that after a few years, despite taking reasonably good care of mine, my tattoo needed a serious touch of TLC.The prices are pretty reasonable too but if you're serious about getting a quality tattoo done, it's probably worth checking out a few tattooists first, as this is something that will be there for life.All in all, not a bad place to get a first tattoo, but there are better artists around that are worth saving up for.
