Today I had the privilege of having my first ever tattoo done by Karl at Fleckys. As soon as I walked in the door I was made to feel comfortable and relaxed by Stew who couldn’t have been more reassuring and informative. He answered all my questions making me fully relaxed about the whole thing. Karl was just the same he knew it was my first time and explained everything he was going to do and checked I was happy continually through the process. The other members of staff and even the other customers were all so friendly it makes it a really relaxing place to be. I am now the proud owner of an amazing piece of art that I was lucky to have Karl do for me, I can’t recommend Fleckys highly enough and I will definitely be returning. Read Less

Bad experience I am not a tattoo person. I have one only which was done by Flecky years ago which was a positive experience. My grandfather passed away recently and i wanted to have a similar tattoo to one he had, so i had booked Fleckys again. I have never felt so embarrassed from the moment i arrived! I had nothing but attitude from the guy on reception. I was initially made to feel stupid when i had called the tattoo i wanted a old school swallow design when in fact what is a true old school swallow to tattoo people wasn't quite what i, a non tattoo person, wanted. He was very pushy and I continued to hear that the pictures he had just printed were what was asked for when the appointment was booked. I had took an example of what i wanted which considering it was going to be drawn on myself, that was probably the kind of thing i wanted. I had one photo where you vaguley could see the old tattoo on my grandfather if you zoomed in and i got laughed at and told ‘well i can’t do a drawing from that luv’, which i wasn’t expecting him to. I was simply trying to give him everything i could to explain what i wanted. That eventually passed, with a decent level of hostility building and i explained what i actually wanted, which in fairness was more than the one bird, only to find out apparently enough time hadn’t been booked. I apologised for this and explained another family member had booked the slot a few weeks ago and paid the deposit as i couldn't get in due to living in Yorkshire. I apologised repeatedly for not describing the tattoo i wanted correctly and also my ignorance in not knowing how long such a tattoo would take, which didn’t seem to suffice. He was more concerned with making me feel bad, we eventually got round to trying to rebook (which i don’t actually know why, but i felt pressurised) and paying another deposit which is fair enough. I walked out of the shop after he asked me for more that the deposit for said tattoo as i was a ‘canceller’. I am not quite sure when i paid my deposit and turned up for the tattoo how he came to that conclusion but nevertheless i couldn’t give future custom. Despite my many apologies, he continued to be aggressive and rude towards me making me feel foolish. I have no ability to comment on the quality of tattoos at Fleckys, i am certain id have been happy with it, but this man has an appalling attitude. It should not happen. Read Less
