I walked nervously down the steps of Tattoo 13. I was only going in to assess the types of nose studs they had, just in case I ever decided to act on my three year yearn for a nose piercing, but I'd never been into a proper tattoo shop before and I felt a bit like I didn't belong. The first thing that struck me was how incredibly sterile it smelled, even before I'd reached the main part of the shop. As a bit of a clean freak (read: massive-don't-even-like-touching-door-handles-clean-freak), this was part of the battle won. When I walked up to the counter wearing my formal work-wear, I received a warm, professional and patient welcome that lasted as long as my endless, panicky questions. Interrogation over, I thanked Danny for his help and walked back out into Soho to get my bus, but something had felt so comfortable about Tattoo 13 that I knew it was there or nowhere... So I went back in and had it done there and then! Danny did a sterling job, not only with the piercing (which hurt less than stubbing your toe lightly) but also with making me feel comfortable and at ease with my decisions (which side, positioning, stud-type, etc). I have had two tattoos done here and have recommended to friends. The customer service is amazing!!! With my first tattoo Liam (I'd I remember correctly!) was amazing and did my tattoo exactly how I wanted it. I received an email a couple of weeks after asking for a photo for them to see how my tattoo healed... What else can you ask for in terms of customer service. For my second tattoo I had Davide. Who was spectator, my tattoo is absolutely beautiful and people comment on it all the time. The detail is absolutely phenomenal! I did have a slight issue with my tattoo where it healed funny and for some reason there was a small hole.. Now this was not an infection... It was absolutely nothing to do with how the tattoo was done or anything to do with the tattoo parlour.. For some reason I just reacted to a very small section to my tattoo.. I emailed tattoo13 straight away they were great! They said once the hole had healed itself they would rebook me in for a touch up. They also emailed me a week after to check if it had healed over. I booked my touch up a couple of weeks after and the team were just as amazing as ever. Tattoo13 is clean, everything is sterile and comes out of the packages in front of you. The team are friendly and polite. As others have mentioned you can only pay cash, cards are not accepted. It was our last night in London, and we were up for something fun! I called all around London looking for a piercing shop that offered the Ashley Piercing. I had zero luck until i called Tattoo 13 - they offered the Ashley and at a great price!! Liam was our piercer and he was awesome. Super patient and gentle. The three of us all got something pierced - helix, nostril, and the Ashley. All completely affordable and came out beautiful. I had 2 lobe piercings (seconds) and a helix piercing done here in May 2016. The service was great and the staff were really lovely, but the piercings I was left with were not up to standard in my opinion. All 3 of the piercings were done at very strange angles so now that I've had more piercings done with the correct positioning, the backs of earrings sit very awkwardly in my ears and often catch on each other, sometimes even causing one of my lobe piercings to bleed due to being tugged by the other jewellery. My cartilage was so wonky that I now cannot wear rings in both my cartilage piercings at once because the top ring would sit so awkwardly (due to the angle). At the end of the day, wonky piercings are not that big of problem and I wouldn't have minded if that was the only thing that was wrong with them, but one of my lobe piercings was pierced so oddly that it swelled considerably on one side of my ear. Of course, swelling is normal but it only swelled on one side, causing the position of the piercing to be distorted, pushing it much closer to my first lobe piercing. In the end, I had to take out the jewellery as I couldn't wear earrings any bigger than about 3mm in diameter in both piercings at once without the jewellery overlapping. I have since found a much better piercers in London and have been returning to the new place ever since. Definitely be cautious if you decide to go for piercings at Tattoo 13! Read Less

I had my first tattoo from tattoo 13 yesterday and the guys there were very nice and professional.I booked my appointment last week to let them know what I wanted, my appointment was with sharon, she had already designed and prepared my tattoo for me.I was there for about an hour and half, the studio was clean and everything was sterilised.They made me feel welcome and at ease.I will definitely be going back and would strongly recommend.Thank you tattoo 13 for a great experience. My daughter and I had our forward helix's pierced by Liam, he explained the process and whilst it was done quickly it wasn't rushed in any way. Had two tattoos done here over the last couple of years. Recently had the second one finished which was done by the wonderful Sharon Surname. The second was actually somewhat of an extension to the first tattoo I had done by Dariusz and Sharon did a bang up job. I'm really happy with it and received many compliments on it so far. Asked for a drawing (small and simple, already precise with my drawing), paid 60 pounds deposit. 2 days later I change my mind I don't want it anymore. They have not started drawing anything yet. Never got my deposit back. I said I'll get a piercing with that money then. "no it's different". I stupidly do the piercing there anyway. I ask in the cartilage but quite randomly (i'm quite impulsive_ my fault). No one asks me which size for the "hole", they make it to me randomly (i did not know different sizes existed), in 2 sec, thiner and less visible. They gave me none information and did not aske for the size. Now I have a big piercing I wish was smaller and I lost 60 pounds.Thanks guys. Read Less

My second tattoo - the word "London" - was inked here by one of their artists. She didn't take the time to ink me properly, as the whole process was over in like 30 seconds...And that's what the tattoo looks like now: Terrible!!! I definitely felt betrayed by them afterwards and got the feeling that they only wanted to make money by inking me. If you're looking for a great place to get inked, don't go into this shop!!!Get onto the Overground and visit "Dan Gold Tattoo" in West Hampstead instead. It's worth it!!!!! Read Less
