If I could give this place negative stars I would. We did a quick visit to London and Kings Cross was within walking distance. I wanted the most simplest of tattoos; words. 9 to be exact. Its been a little over a week and the lettering is fading. He didn't go deep enough which I told him. He said it was fine. And the best part, they charged me 180 pounds for 9 words. 9 words that I will have to get fixed because of the crappy job that was done. That is $252 American dollars just so I can get someone else to fix it. $28 a freaking word! They robbed me and now I am literally paying for it. Save yourself a lot of cash and go somewhere else. I was in desperate need to have two-piercings removed the evening before I was due a hospital MRI scan, and so I dropped by this place and asked whether it would be possible, and thankfully they were happy to help me out. I love this place! Have been back now for several pieces of work with the owner Snappy after initially going for a small cover up! It's not my nearest tattoo studio but its worth the travel for such fine work. Snappy really has good creative ideas and knows what will work for me as an individual. I've been complimented worldwide for the pieces I've got on my body. Literally anytime any of the art is exposed I get comments. The shop is relaxed and the process is easy. It makes it as comfortable as tattooing can be!! The desk staff are always friendly and professional and do their best to help. I'm absolutely appalled by the service I've received. My tattoo is falling away as though it was a temporary one! I was charged over 100 pounds for the worst experience ever. Instead of being ink, I'm covered in scar tissue. Having phoned to complain and to speak to a manager I'm being told to phone back or to email. NEVER go here, absolutely disgraceful especially the lack of communication. I'm being told maybe I've not looked after it properly. I have tattoos all over my ...body and NEVER have I had such an awful experience. During my complaint I wasn't even offered any help, just told maybe it was the ink or maybe me but they couldn't tell unless they see it. Now I ring back and the manager is not in. How convenient. Unprofessional and rude I had Diogenes and he was very dismissive and curt. Was so rushed into everything and didn't get to talk over everything i wanted to with him. When I sat down to have it done (after he insisted things had to be changed about the design) I said about the colour and before I even got to say which one i wanted he cut me off and said it has to be on black. After I replied saying I think black is way too harsh for my skin tone he replied with the whole "I've been doing this for x amount of years it has to be black ". This being my first tattoo i stupidly said okay as I had already paid my non-refundible deposit. He didn't ask me how thin or thick I wanted the lines either so i assumed it would be how I drew it but he had done it thicker. If you want something specific that means a lot to you don't go to him. Got a gorgeous poppy flower on the lower half of my leg by Olga. This girl knows her craft. I would highly recommend her. After my consultation i felt totally at ease that she knew my vision and what I wanted. She custom designed the flower and I could not be happier. Best tattoo experience ever. I found Olga on instagram and decided to make an appointment, as I was due to be in London about a month later. The process via email was easy and they responded very quickly. I showed up on my appointment day and they were expecting me. Olga was very enthusiastic about putting an original design on me which made me happy. She made sure I was comfortable and was very easy going about taking breaks, which is hard to find in America. She was great to talk to and did incredible work. By far the most beautiful tattoo I have, at a place with artists with positive attitudes and lacking a sense of entitlement. Again, very hard to find in America. The next time I find myself in London, I will 100% come here again. I highly recommend Olga to anyone wanting a portrait or anything with a ton of line work. A friend and I were in London for a couple days at the end of may and we had decided we wanted to get something done last minute. There wasn't enough time for the both of us but they were so accommodating to get me in the next day. My friend had (Olga_tattoos) and her sunflower came out so perfect and was very personalized, and she said olga made her first tattoo the best experience possible. For myself I had gotten booked in the day after and they called in another artist just for me (@lolbecktattoo) and she whipped something up in the middle of the night and personalized it when I got there, can honestly say started the tattoo addiction off perfectly, amazing work. I made my appointment with Kings Cross Tattoo Parlour about 3 or 4 months ago. I had a precise idea of what I wanted, I send them several drawings for the artist to find inspiration and draw me the perfect tattoo and of course I chose the artist whose tattoos appealed the most to me, that is to say Luciano. Several times since I had this first contact with KXTP, I joined them by mail to know how my drawing was going and different details about my appointment, in my head every...thing was clear. And then, I arrived the day of my appointment, they told me "no no you have to come back at 5pm" whereas I had an email that proved my appointment was a 4. I came back an hour later, nothing was ready for my tattoo, I was introduced to Beppe, at first I didn't understand and then it became clear that it was him who was going to do my tattoo. I have nothing to say about his work, my tattoo is perfect and it is not the problem but it is not an original drawing, it is only something we found on the web and it was not even changed a bit for me whereas Luciano had months to do it as it was said to me by email. Beppe had no idea what I wanted and as I'm french I had no idea how to explain it in face to face, it's why I had given so many details in my emails and I was hoping them to draw something great. Luciano was there making a tattoo on another person and he didn't even bothered about me whereas I said to the manager that my appointment was with Luciano and not somebody else. In the end my experience there was definitely not the best I had in my life and I think they maybe did that to me because I'm french and I didn't dare say anything (I didn't know how to do). First tattoo I have gotten and definitely not my last. Olga, not even beginning to talk about the art, is lovely. Recommnded her to everyone I know. At the start I was nervous from the amount of friends/family saying to me "do you know how much its going to hurt? A lot..." I sat down and my heart was noticeably beating out through my chest. I was quickly reassured and my nerves were put to rest. Ps, the pain is minimal. To anyone wanting one but afraid of the pain, just go, youll be pleasantly surprised. I am so happy I got my first tattoo from Olga. The art and the detail put into the tattoo is amazing. Ive had numerous friends with artistic backgrounds comment on the quality of the rose incorporated into the treble clef and have said how beautiful it looks. I attempted to make an appointment with Kings Cross two weeks before my desired tattoo day. I had multiple friends looking to get black and grey tattoos while we were studying abroad. I spoke with a young man on the phone and explained that we wanted multiple tattoos in a day. He informed me it would be no problem because no one was booked for the day. His exact words were "no problem just come on in." I explained AGAIN that it was multiple tattoos and asked if he would need ...any information of mine or if I should make a specific appointment, he repeated no and told me to walk in. Two weeks later my group of friends and I arrived at opening time and the kid at the desk informed me that they had booked the whole day and only had space to do one tattoo at four o'clock. I asked why I was booked over and he said that people called in after me, I asked why I was booked over and he said I needed to make an appointment but that they don't make appointments over the phone because of deposits. As a person with 7 tattoos this is not new to me and I understand that, which is why I asked over the phone what I needed to do to secure my spot. Kings Cross was rude and curt when I arrived and asked for an explanation and despite their great art I would not recommend them to anyone who wants a trustworthy and enjoyable experience.
