Had my helix pierced here and had a wonderful experience. Rob clearly knows his stuff, cares about his customers and adapts piercings to what he feels would work best for you. After had it done I came back for a check up and we tried several different piercings for my ear for which one felt the best as I have a very thick cartilage and it swelled up quite a bit after I had it done. I had both my daith piercings done here. After having the horse shoe jewellery changed to straight bars, to attempt to remove a couple of pressure sores, I became concerned that by the next day the left piercing was very sore and the swelling had got much worse. I phoned the studio to be told to put camomile tea bags on the sore. I wasn't given an appointment to have the piercing checked. The ball came off of the piercing due to the swelling and I ended up going to a and e to... check the ball had not gone into my ear. It hadn't fortunately. I messaged studio nine to explain the situation to be sent the following response "Didn't think so u would of gone deaf and a lot of pain thank god it didn't�". Still I was not offered an appointment to have a new ball put on to the end of the bar until a day after I had been to a and e. The hospital said that if the ball had gone into my ear they would have been able to remove it and it would not have caused any hearing problems. Fortunately another studio have helped to get my piercings sorted and they haven't even charged me. Every time I go to studio nine I get told I need a jewellery change and charged £10.00 per piece of new jewellery. Not happy. See more Read Less

After wanting to get the middle of my ear pierced I looked around and thought Studio 9 would be the place to go. I went in and booked an appointment for today at 3.30 last week. I arrived at 3.30 with another girl. We were both left standing in the reception area for 15 minutes before we decided to head upstairs as we could hear voices. I then sat in the sofa area upstairs for another 15 minutes waiting for someone to come and speak to me. A guy then appeared out of a room wi...th his previous customer and walked straight past not even acknowledging me and headed downstairs. Feeling confused about what was happening and already wasting 30 minutes of my time I headed downstairs after him to ask if he knew about my booking. The response I got was atrocious and was snapped at saying he was really busy and behind because it was the school holidays nothing he could do to help that. Whilst I appreciate these things happen common curtesy of a phone call to explain that was the case or just to say sorry I'm running late will be with you as soon as I can when he first saw me sitting there would have been suffice. The way he spoke to me was like I was the one in the wrong for asking what was happening after being ignored for half an hour. I had arranged paid childcare for this appointment which is not easy for me and was looking forward to getting something for myself which doesn't happen very often since becoming a mum. I've never been treated with such awful customer service and it's a massive shame as from what I could hear from his conversation with the previous customer he seemed to know his stuff. Rob was a very calming influence (I was petrified beforehand), he knows his stuff about acupressure points and migraines etc. Had a double daith piercing and looking forward to a life without immense head pain. Going to go back for follow up in a month, so will update. But offering aftercare and having a real interest in his customers health, is very refreshing and shows he has a passion for what he does. Rob is the best he's pierced both me and my niece (my tongue and my nose on 2 separate occasions) and just did my nieces tongue yesterday - he is chilled and full of banter but keeps the excellent professional vibe too you will never find a more relaxing and safe environment for piercings than that at studio nine. Being a very late comer to piercing & not having the foolhardiness of youth on my side, although wanting my tragus & second lobes pierced for many years, I was fairy apprehensive about visiting studio nine. However, Rob straight away put me at ease, the piercings themselves didn't hurt at all & the after care was exceptional. As promised by Rob the small bump on my tragus ( that I was worried about ) has disappeared & the healing process is well under way. ...
