I have four big tattoos completed by Chessie and I couldn't be happier. She always listens to my ideas but adds her own flair so I have something original. The studio is clean, welcoming and professional. There are events that create a really great vibe, their are rewards for customers and the public events (gallery exhibitions/ live gig nights/ flash days) are a great commitment to the local community. The window displays are also a lovely touch. When being tattooed Chessie is professional, but makes sure I'm comfortable and pays real attention to how I'm coping, not making me feel like a wimp when I have to tap out. Now had my 3rd tattoo at Pride & Glory and always welcomed with a smile. The staff are very helpful and patient, they changed the design on my first tattoo when asked without complaining or feeling like I was being an inconvenience. Chessie, the tattoo artist, stopped when I needed breaks on my first tattoos when I was nervous and she took this into account. They create amazing original designs which I fell in love with when I saw, needed no changes whatsoever!! I felt like a valued customer and not an annoyance emailing back and forth to Lauren, the apprentice, so that they knew what type of design I wanted. The tattooing is of great quality and heals fast, even offering to return in the following weeks for a free touch up. The studio has a very chilled vibe which is very clean and comfortable. An amazing studio With an amazing artist. Chessie makes you feel welcome as soon as you walk through the door. Had a portrait of a musician done, and Chessie put on a play list of their music. It's little things like that, that makes all the difference. And the work she done was incredible. At the end I was given an aftercare kit, which after 11 tattoos... Was a first. When looking for somewhere to have my first tattoo done, everyone kept telling me "the feel of the place matters. If you don't feel right in the place, don't get a tattoo from there" I loved this place the second I walked in!! Absolutely amazing tattoo studio!! Took me 6 years to finally pluck up the courage to get a tattoo and Chessie couldn't have made me feel more comfortable and relaxed! Even though I ask for simple designs that do not challenge her talents one bit she is very patient and makes sure I am completely happy and comfortable throughout the tattoo to make it a very enjoyable experience (apart from my wimp side coming out!) will be back soon, thanks to all at the studio, thoroughly enjoy coming in and the service that is received!! Unfortunately my friend and I didn't have a very good experience at Pride and Glory-despite being happy with result of both our tattoos. We were made to feel like we were almost being an inconvenience to our tattoo artist. We were unsure if this was because both our designs were very small and not to exciting for her to do? However she was aware how simple they would be before agreeing to do them. She was very unfriendly and made us feel uncomfortable. The reasons for our tattoos were extremely personal and was quite upsetting that the artist seemed to have zero interest in doing it for her. However the receptionist was more than helpful and welcoming, an the shop itself with the artwork available to purchase is great. Read Less

I had my first tattoo (age 58!). I picked Pride & Glory because of the excellent reviews they had from other customers. I went in to enquire and Sarah was very helpful. I left some ideas of what I wanted and made an appointment. On the day Sarah was really good, calming my nerves. The tattoo took the best part of 2 hours and the end result is fantastic, and that's not just me that thinks that, my friends and family think so too. I went here after my wife bought me vouchers to have a tattoo finished, that had been started elsewhere about 5 years ago. Chessie was a little reluctant at first to take on somebody else's work, but went ahead. She did a fantastic job, the colours and detail are amazing. The studio itself is spotless and fantastically decorated in a cool retro look. The artwork on display is all for sale and amazing. I'm planning on getting a lot more work done here. Read Less
