I Shopped around before deciding where to go, these guys have the best reputation with the most reviews and nearly all of them being 5 stars, I don’t like the idea of a new tattooist so these ones popping up all over with no reputation at all worry me! I called ahead and spoke to a lovely lady who advised I pop in and have a chat so I did and I’ve never left a place feeling more confident about leaving my body in the hands of strangers, they are such a friendly amusing bunch who manage to make you feel at ease and comfortable within 2 minutes of being there! The lady at the desk (the piercer) was so nice and got me booked in as soon as she could! I turned up to have my tattoo and spent most of my time laughing like I was apart of the team myself! I would recommend them to anyone, I expected a tattoo I didn’t expect to leave with a massive smile on my face due to great time I had whilst being tattooed! This place is Just the best I have tried lots of other Tattoo Studios for my piercings and tattoos and will be sticking with these guys . The shop is lovely clean and hygienic. The young lady behind the counter made my experience very special she was professional but warm and welcoming and put my nerves at ease. I think it's fair to say I'm a regular customer here but lately being so impressed with the changes made I needed to right a review! I have always been impressed with the artists and the artwork to come out of this studio but lately the general atmosphere, upkeep and all round professionalism of the new team have made all the difference. I visited the Black Pearl twice to discuss a tattoo, each time I felt very unwelcomed. The receptionist spent a lot of time whilst serving me talking to others and generally ignoring me and then coming back to me when she felt like it. I decided against having a tattoo with them because I wasn't satisfied with their ability to give me what I wanted or where I wanted. There was no enthusiasm about my tattoo. They kept saying no to tattoos that I suggested which in some respects I appreciated because they obviously weren't confident in doing them. I gave them a deposit but left feeling like I had been talked into something I didn't actually want because they wouldn't do what I wanted. I therefore cancelled my appointment only an hour after I left the shop, I sent an email but the email has had no response to date, therefore I presume I have lost my deposit. Read Less

I had my daith piercing done around 3 months ago as iv suffered migraines all my life wasnt sure this would work but gave it a go the guys at black pearl done the right ear . I still get headaches but havent had a full blown migraine since which has made a big difference to my life and not having to take the meds is a bonus. I had my daith done a few weeks ago I have suffered with migraine most of my life I go to bed with a headache and wake up with it , I had it done in my right ear it's made so much different to my life already for the first time I have days with out a migraine I still get them but no where near as bad I've come off my migraine tablets , I always have my piercings at black pearl by jay or Jenny they make u feel at easy very friendly it's done very quick hardly know you have had a piercing done they always make u feel welcome I've also had my tattoos there I can't fault them always been happy Read Less

Jay pierced my tongue for me a few weeks ago and it healed really nicely, he made me feel at ease and was so so quick! wasn't messing around with stuff, didn't leave the room to do other things like i've experienced in other shops. was in and out within 5 minutes! definitely going back! Read Less

Had 3 new tattoo's over the weekend by jay who did over time so he could fit me and my friend in. An amazing tattooist who takes pride and joy in what he does. Really happy with my tattoo's and previous piercings I have had done by jay also. Would recommend jay to anyone!! Read Less

I got my faith pierced a year ago, i washed it daily how they told me too, it has caused nothing but harm. I went to a different piercing shop to change the bar into a hoop. The piercing is crooked and wrong the man thought I had pierced it myself. The complete wrong bit of bone was pierced. The piercing is completely hidden in my ear. Unhygienic in there, I was 15 and they didn't ask my age, and I didn't have to fill in any paper work. Disgusting place. Read Less
