I've had two cover ups done by John and got to say extremely happy with the results. The good thing is that he will be honest if the cover up idea will not work and help and give guidance on what will. I believe he truly doesn't want you to end up with a shit tattoo that you might want to recover again. He also went out his way to finish mine over the the 2 sittings. Both were to take approximately 5 hours each but they took approximately 6 and 9 hours due to me adding stuff ...to finish the tattoos off due to my lack of time to rebook. Many tattoo artists probably wouldn't have agreed but John on these occasions persisted with me and completed the tattoos in the 2 sittings. It has taken me 20 years to get my bull dog tattoos covered and I found hard core ink through research but particularly took notice of the reviews I had read. All I can say is John is honest who clearly loves his work and who for me has done an awesome job on covering my previous tattoos due to his talent. John is an amazing tattooist, and luckily he is local to me. He will go out of his way to work out a suitable design for you. If he thinks that your idea won't work, or wouldn't last long, or is just a stupid idea, he will tell you even if it means he won't get your custom at that time. He cares about what he does and he wants you to be totally happy with your art work. He is also great at covering up bad tattoos but luckily I havent had to do this. Jon, ever so friendly, what i like is his honesty and some people may get put of by that. His honesty to help you in getting a great tattoo that will last. He;s need here just to take your money and not care. He cares very much, as I think he is a perfectionist. He is fair price and been to him 3 times now, His detail and his shading is amazing. COVER-UP, WHAT COVER -UP!!!!! I went to see john on recommendation and on the strength of the images published on the Hardcore Ink website.I have (like many) previously made some BAD tattoo decisions, However John does not judge you or make you feel foolish or indeed punish you financially .
