Absolutely fantastic from first meet to completion and then even through cancelling my next appointment because my first session has left me with a work of art that I want to enjoy as a stand alone piece before adding anything else. Both Becky and Alexandra were really understanding and supportive. Yes, the quality of the tattooing is beyond amazing, the hygiene is beyond what is expected but what really stands out is the warmth of the service that is given. I sat for about four hours, relaxing, chatting, barely noticing what was going on on my arm. By the end, the art that I've already had so many compliments and love so much was a bit of a bonus of meeting and getting to know just slightly, two wonderful people. After wanting a tattoo for years, I finally settled on a style and decided to take the plunge. After visiting numerous tattoo artists in the area and seeing studios etc, I visited Inkhaus and after a chat with Alexandra I knew immediately that this was the best place for me! Alexandra was happy to discuss and advise on the ideas I had, and spent time going over the things I had in mind, which wasn't the case at all with some of the other places I visited unfortunately. Her ...passion for her work really came through and this made me confident that I'd chosen the right place, my logic being that if I was going to get something on me that is going to be there for the rest of my life (and someone is going to be sticking needles in my skin for hours on end!) then they hopefully would care about the end product as much as me. Tick! I'm over the moon with the quality of my tattoo, and I couldn't be happier. Alexandra took my ideas and developed them into a design that I loved, which I personally would recommend as what she designed from my rambling Email and range of pictures was far superior to what I could have came up with myself... Alexandra and Becky are also both lovely people who put you at ease and the relaxed, friendly manner they create in the studio was perfect for a 'first timer' like me. Just as a final note - the cleanliness of the studio and the area in which Alexandra works is spotlessly clean and she obviously takes such pride in this - this was another aspect that was important to me, so I was really pleased to see how hygienic and clean everything was. Yes, yes, yes, yes! I got my third tattoo here, and it's where I plan to get my next bigg'un, Alexandra and Violet are lovely to boot, and both seriously know their stuff, head up the stairs through the doors into the delightfully gothic little studio, purple and sterile, smells clean without overpowering chemical smells. Slideshows of past work and designs flicking around on the screens, with a playlist that echoes the impeccable alternative tastes of the owners. Alexandra is the resident inker, and Violet the piercer, they both know their stuff, Alex having done quite an extensive art history degree to back up her drawings. I wanted a small piece to commemorate getting through a stint of ill health and operations, getting a dot work acorn on my ankle, the dot work here in particular is divine, but alex can lend herself to so so many styles. No issues, no bleeding out, and healed like an absolute dream, still clear and lovely months on, definitely no putting the ink in the wrong depths here. I'm yet to have a piercing here, mostly because I keep wimping out of one i've been considering for some time, but I know a lot of people with ink and piercings from here, never mind the two instagram accounts you can follow, and I have never seen a problem. They've been quick to help properly on coverups and ill-done piercings from other places too. After researching vegan tattoo artists, the only one I could find was based in London. After contacting Inkhaus, Becky and Alexandra checked out all of the inks and aftercare etc and confirmed everything was vegan. That was the selling point for me. I'd also emailed Alexandra with pictures of the two lions I wanted. When I got to Inkhaus she showed me her incredible design she had out together and I fell in love immediately. 5 hours and such a fantastic artists and tattooist. Alexandra constantly checked how I was doing and conversation flowed. Inkhaus will definitely be my first port of call whenever I want another tattoo.
