If I could give more than 5* I would. Absolutely love my new tattoo. Jack and Pert are fantastic and made me feel at ease as I was very nervous. They sorted me with numbing cream and designed me the perfect tattoo which is hard as I change my mind constantly. The whole experience was very relaxed and Pert shared some fantastic stories which kept me distracted from being tattooed. I am so so happy with my tattoo and it's exceeded my expectations. I live in Newcastle (England) and wouldn't go anywhere else for a tattoo. Can highly recommend! Def worth an early morning flight. Read Less

The ink castle team are amazing. I go often so it's good to feel comfortable whilst getting tattooed. Pert is an amazing tattooist. i have been going to this studio for the last 8 yrs now and have a very large amount of work done.the owner pert is without a doubt the best in the country.his imagination to produce the work he does is simply fantastic.his freehand work is second to none.photo albums are available in the studio but his website also has a small selection of work to get an idea.when you go into the studio there is the biggest selection of designs to chose from half of which pert has drawn himself giving you an idea of how good his work is.i have been in nearly all the studios in northern ireland as im a big tattoo fan and theres no other shop with such a slection.the shop is big,bright and airy .it is spotless throughout the entire studio especially in the tattoo rooms which gives a fresh clinical atmosphere which in my eyes is a definite must have as tattooing is like a surgical procedure at the end of the day you are opening the skin.the two guys on the counter are great.when i first went in with my ideas of what i wanted they were able to straight away show me similar ideas but better versions.they also were able to show me better ways to put my ideas together.they definitely know what they are talking about.another thing i love about the studio is its homely fun atmosphere. going for a tattoo can be nerve wrecking but they make you at ease and there is always a bit of a laugh going on with the staff and the customers which is great."suzi b" im sure if you have a wobbly line if you call in it will be fixed as soon as possible.they look after customers no matter how big or small their tattoo."Conor" all tattoo studios arent like miami ink or L.A ink you dont need to go in and people draw everything up.with such a large selection of designs its easy to see something exactly what you want.so why have them draw something thats probably already there.the guys are more than willing to change any design to suit.i picked a dragon but wanted bits changed and it was done on the day there and then.in short this is the best studio in the country . its a very  bright welcoming clean studio putting out fantastic work with very helpful staff.so i would recommend this studio to anybody looking for the smallest simplest tattoo to the biggest most elaborate tattoo because they will give you the best results possible. After going to Ink Castle today with my two children (my daughter is 21 and my son was 18) I was very impressed. We had not made an appointment but they both had a very extensive disscusion about wot they wanted. They had both had tattooes before (my daughter is on her sixth and my son is on his second) and therefore they had lots of experience in other tattoo parlours, not all as favourable as Ink Castle. The place itself as exceptionally clean and the staff were friendly, there was brilliant music playing the whole time. The gentleman (I think he was called Skip) who did both thier tattooes today was very friendly and patient and looked like a boy who knew exactally what he was doing and he made a beautiful job on both tattooes. The shop seemed quite busy and there was a nice atmosphere in it and i should know I was there for nearly 4 hours waiting as the tattooes where so big. I would recommend this place to anyone and I dont think my son and daughter will go anywhere else from now on. Read Less

Pert (the tattoo artist) at Ink Castle is allegedly the best tattoist in Belfast. I'm here to dispute that. I got my second tattoo here, the Libra symbol on my left wrist. I'd had this planned for ages and was literally gagging for it! I booked my appointment without a hitch, with the lovely receptionist on the phone. I arrived that Thursday after work (they're open late to 6:30) and was seen quickly. Pert chatted away to me asking me this and that about my other tattoos. don't know, maybe it was because it was late in the day, but he seemed disorientated and his mind not on the job. It's not that he did a bad job (though one line is slightly wonky) but I just didn't feel he was treating the job with the meticulousness he should have. The tattoo is with me for the rest of my life and I felt he should have paid more concentration. It doesn't bother me that much, if it did I'd have had it fixed (you can go abck within the week if you're not happy) but at that stage I'd thought that the scab was still healing and it would look different when finally healed. I'm not saying that he's a bad tattooist as I know people who swear by him and he's obviously got his reputation from somewhere but this is my review and personally I wasn't overly impressed. Ink Castle is a tattoo parlour in North Belfast just on the edge of the city centre. I've never got a tattoo before, I've been to nervous and know that as soon as I get one I'd hate it and attempt to saw off whichever limb I had chosen to ruin with my body art. But I'm always up an adventure to a new place so when a buddy of mine told me he was going down here to get a tattoo I decided to come along for the ride. What struck me as weird of this place is that according my friend, he didn't need to make an appointment to get his tattoo. I thought you had to go and discuss what you wanted, maybe get a sketch drawn up so you can be certain its what you want. But apparently not! My friend just walked in and got a cross on his right pec (yep....). As far as he was concerned it was the greatest thing ever. As far as I was concerned it was wonky.
