It’s a shame that after so many ‘good’ reviews this shop completely let me down. After visiting on my holiday to try and get a piercing fitted with new jewellery I was sent on a wild goose chase around a city I did not know for the jewellery (as she didn’t keep any in stock). I was not asked what I wanted done and on my return after spending money on jewellery from the recommended shop I returned to have it changed. I am not a qualified piercer which is why I go to recommended shops to have my jewellery changed. Upon returning I was told she would not change hoops as it was too fiddly and on inspection of my conch she found it had closed up to a point she would not force it. Fair enough you might think, however she was rude and made me feel stupid and spoke in a disrespectful manner to my fiancé also. I apologised for wasting her time (5 mins) and she never offered any advice on a re-piercing even though I asked if that was an option. Then sent me away advising how I could soften it with soapy water and re-pierce myself. I do not change my own jewellery hence why I am always willing to pay to have it done. To finish up; rude, disrespectful, inconsiderate, would never recommend or go back ruined my day that I work hard to have off!!! Thanks for nothing. Nasty nasty nasty!!!!! Read Less

We always use Secret Ink for piercings, we find the salon is very clean and staff are always professional. I really like how prior to any piercings the process is gone through and any possible implications discussed, therefore clients can make an informed decision before going ahead. Read Less

I went into secret ink just before Christmas with my friend who was having a tragus piercing done. it was really professional and even though she had been in for another piecing a few weeks before, they still went through all the risks and completed a new consent form. we went into a separate room and the piercing began. there was only one person working the day we went in, and just as she started the phone rang so she went to answer it. when she came back she sanitized and washed her hands again and put on a new pair of gloves which i thought was amazing as not everyone would've washed their hands again before outing on new gloves. 5/5. I am thinking of going soon to get another lobe piercing done and would recommend to anyone who is nervous or anxious. Read Less

My daughter (12) just had her ear lobes pierced today and the care and attention that was given to her from the lovely lady at secret ink (I'm sorry I can't remember her name) was amazing. She wasn't rushed, everything was explained to her and it was so relaxed - just what an anxious child needed! I booked in and had a daith piercing done today. I went on my own and was very nervous and a little undecided on what I really wanted. I was put at ease and the information that I was given helped me on my final decision. I had a double heliex instead. I'm really happy with my piercings and once they have healed I look forward to having my 3rd one done. Very clean, friendly staff and really passionate about quality of their work. Read Less

Wow, well, what can I say :) ! I booked an appointment in with Secret Ink after an initial consultation and couldn't be happier with the service and care that I received. This was my first ever tattoo, and I'm the first of my family to get one, so I was understandably nervous about what to expect. My initial consultation was conducted by the wonderful Gabbie, who I'm certain anyone who has been to Secret Ink will know as a welcoming, witty and outstandingly pleasant person r...ight from our first meeting. I was shown around every part of the studio without hesitation, and there wasn't a single question she couldn't answer. I felt at once at ease, and very sure that I would be well looked after through every step of getting my tattoo. This morning, I was taken upstairs by Alex who was extremely patient getting my stencil exactly right and in the place that I wanted. The studio was extremely clean and well kept, and I never felt unsafe or as if I were being hurried to make a decision. Alex was very patient and skilled, and I almost couldn't believe how little time it took to finish my design, but the final result is beautiful and precisely what I wanted. The aftercare advice I was given was easy to follow and well explained, and a contact card was given to me afterwards in case I need any further advice. If you're looking for somewhere that genuinely cares about you and respects you as a human being, then please come to Secret Ink. I know I definitely will be back! After hearing some amazing reviews about Secret Ink in Truro, I decided I would give them ago for my next piece. I actually took on a friends appointment for July as he wasn't going to be able to go to it, but I had to book in a consultation in March... when it came to the consultation, I still hadn't quite decided what I wanted (I had some ideas but wasn't 100%) so called them to say I didn't really know 100% what I wanted and asked if it was worth me still coming to the appointment. Instead of being offered to change the consultation date to give me more time, or some advise or the option to go in and discuss some options anyway, I was told my appointment would be cancelled. As I'm sure you know, deciding on what tattoo you want is a big thing so If that's how you treat your clients, I'd rather not use you! Read Less

Myself and my daughter got a piercing here today, I have to say from the moment we walked through the door I knew this was the right place! (we had looked at a couple of other studios previous to this one) It was extremely clean and had a very friendly atmosphere, we were both put at ease immediately and the care and time that was put in to us both was so lovely. Secret Ink you are the best! After much deliberation and research I decided to go for it and get a tattoo. I went to Secret Ink initially based on their sheer professionalism. This applies with firstly, their excellent web site offering great education and real host responsibility and secondly with their real customer service I was not disappointed I met with Justin and the team and was very impressed with their very personable and yet still professional manner. Justin duly timely contacted me, after an initial consultation, with some great visual ideas I wanted to change a couple of things and we met again to discuss He was very patient, and so were the team, and even better than that, he came up with some truly great ideas which we incorporated into the tattoo.
