I went into The Bug & Pin last week & had a butterfly kiss piercing. (on my cheekbone) I was extremely nervous but Rach was so friendly and put me straight at ease... It wasn't very painful at all & she was very knowledgeable. She made sure I was happy with the position before actually doing it. After she made me stay put and sit in the chair for an extra 5/10 minutes while she checked the swelling, after it calmed down & started to settle she gave me lost of instruction ...of how to care for my new beautiful new piercing & how to avoid infection, I had a little bruising but I do bruise easily, it has been 5 days & it doesn't hurt at all it hasn't become infected & I've been able to sleep on that side of my face since having it done. Had my daiths pierced was scared but Rach calmed me down I hate needles. Had both of them pierced for my migraines and it literally had changed my life. On Friday 14th April I came into the shop to have my daith pierced. When putting the jewellery in I swelled and the jewellery would not go through. Rachel was completely honest with me and said she would not force anything as she didn't want to cause me damage. Most people would have shoved it through and left me to deal with the consequences ( having it cut out). She put cold water on and waited for the swelling to reduce whilst telling me that it could be a reaction to the ...jewellery and would not charge me for the session. She explained how to look after it and said that she would be happy to clean it for me. She said that if I wanted to come back using a different jewellery then I would be more than welcome but would only need to pay the lower price even though I was having a jewellery upgrade. Not only this, but she gave me advice on my weird (my words) ears and where potential piercings would not work in the future due to my funny (again, my words) cartilage. My mum and little niece were with me at the time and Rachel offered them drinks and biscuits to keep my 5 year old niece amused :) Due to her honesty and kindness, I left with the knowledge that PVD does not like me and I returned last week and successfully left with my daith pierced this time with titanium jewellery and I absolutely love it!! Very welcoming and relaxed. Silly me turned up a day early but it was just fine. I was very much put at ease by the lovely couple. They offered aftercare too! wich I've never had before.
