DO NOT GO THERE IF YOU WANT SOMETHING REGULAR, THIN AND SYMMETRIC !!!! I'm French student who was in Swansea for few months during the last summer and I got a tattoo in this shop. I waited 6 months to comment on my tattoo because I needed to have the benefit of hindsight. I am not happy at all with my tattoo and I just corrected it by another tattooist. When I came there to be tattooed I was happy but the day after, the ink started to spread through my skin. I came back to the shop and they told me this is usual and the tattoo will be fine after scaring. However, that went worse and worse and now my tattoo isn't regular and thin, some lines are bigger than others and it doesn't look tidy and accurate. It looks rather like a rush job !!! In addition, the tattoo isn't symmetric !! When I showed it to them, they told me I didn't take care of my tattoo which is totally wrong ! I did everything that they recommended to me. Other tattoists told me that the needle was too big, he jabbed too strongly and he did it too many times on the same spot. To sum up, it was my first tatto and I'm really disappointed. I’m very happy with my tattoo done by Mike this week I had an awkward old tattoo I wanted covering up and after I popped in the studio for a bit of advice how best to do it I was so impressed with the service I received that I paid deposit and booked in straight away! I have been tattooed 4 times and 3 of those times where at Swansea Tattoo co. I travel 4 hours to get tattooed by Lee Hadfield, I could go anywhere near me, but i choose to journey all the way to Wales to see Lee and have him tattoo me. He makes me feel comfortable and he makes it fun whilst sitting there getting tattooed. He takes your mind off of any pain of the tattoo and even has you in fits of laughter as he talks with his work colleagues It is great to see a good atmosp...here inside of a tattoo shop because nothing is worse than sitting there getting a painful tattoo in a awkward, silent room. Lee is amazing at his art work and all my tattoos have healed perfectly, currently got my next planned with Lee and we together have come up with such a great idea. Not only does he do the art work he also helps you plan your idea and gives advice to make it even better. Nothing but 5 stars from me and I will always go to Lee and Swansea Tattoo co because you can get a tattoo anywhere, but they do amazing artwork within a brilliant, fun atmosphere. Me and my family have only ever been tattooed by Lee Hadfield, he is so funny and makes you feel so comfortable as being tattooed is very nerve wracking! The atmosphere in the shop is so good, you really feel like you're part of the gang when being tattooed. Wow! And not in a good way ... Can't remark about their tattoo work but Lee needs to learn how to deal with the public and customer service .. appalled at how he spoke to my friend who was looking into if her tattoo (that was done there) if it could be changed slightly as had been pointed out it was a dog paw and not a cat paw as she had requested 8mths previous. She wasn't even complaining or being arsey or wanting anything for free. We were chatting and having banter with the guy on desk ..next thing he pipes up I don't want to do tattoo anyway ..plenty of other tattoo shopss go there We went there for me to have a tattoo as my friend recommended them!!!! I had my first ever tattoo done on Wednesday thanks to the lovely people at Swansea Tattoo Co.. They were helpful on the phone with my queries and at the appointment made me feel at ease and comfortable, going through all the details making sure the tattoo I was getting was exactly what I wanted. The price I paid is exactly what was quoted to me on the phone. I love my new tattoo, it looks brilliant and is healing nicely. Had my elbow tattooed on Wednesday by Jenks. I can't speak highly enough of him! He was patient and wanted to know exactly what I wanted and worked on the design until I was completely happy with it! He made me feel comfortable and relaxed and the end result is sick! The only downside was, after driving 45 minutes to the shop, my fiancé wasn't allowed to sit with me and had to occupy herself for nearly 4 hours until I was finished. I bought a voucher for my husband to have some writing done across his back. The guy I spoke to was helpful went to check with the tattooist came back n said about 2hrs work so I gave him a £50 deposit presuming I had the max of £90 to pay when he'd finished as we've (myself, husband,daughter,son in law & niece) had tattoo's here on previous occasions at a fixed price of £70 an hour but to my dismay I went to pay the balance after an hours work expecting to pay £20 and he ask...ed me for £120 !!!!! When I questioned it he pulled the appointment book out and showed me he'd added in my opinion after I left the shop after paying the deposit a price of £170 !! I was livid and despite the fact the piece is stunning it put a dampener on the whole gift as I felt I was not informed of the "change of rules "that the hourly rate is only for sleeves etc. To add to my fury there was a young lady in the shop the same time and was given a price of £ 70 an hour for butterfly/fairy not part of a sleeve!!!! Despite the fact that the artist had over 25 yrs of tattooing experience I don't know how they can justify £170 for 4 lines of writing, an hours work. My dad had the start of his second sleeve done a couple of months ago but one of Jelle and it turned out absolutely beyond what he expected, incredible. Although Ami did not complete his first piece, she completed his Pink Floyd tribute sleeve and she did not disappoint. Ami also did my very first tattoo for me being a huge horse tribute to my grandparents, I was so nervous about having my first tattoo, but didn't feel a thing. Such a gentle hand, and such a creative artist! My dad has come home today and Ami has started reworking his big back piece and it is outstanding, also adding bits. We have both been extremely happy and grateful to Ami for the tattoos she has done for us and I cannot wait to start my next piece of my leg sleeve with her!! To my surprise I find myself almost forced to write a review to give future customers an insight on my experience. Firstly I was tattooed by a younger guy, probably the youngest artist there.. which is absolutely fine. however, I had a very specific drawing that I created and customised myself down to the finest detail, thinking about the design for many many months.. and I was clear to the artist when booking the tattoo this was EXACTLY what I want.. He said he would improvise ever so slightly where needed, as you can see in the photos below the black and white one is what I ended up with.. which to some people this may be better or preferred or whatever.. but seriously, its very different to me.. there is not much that can be done to my tattoo to make it better for me.. never the less I am pleased with my tattoo but definitely do not go to this place if you want an exact copy, because no matter what you say to them, they seem abit to big for their boots and let their imagination flow on YOUR SKIN which is not for me.. I did not have a pleasant experience here. I originally wanted a small, thin quote along my arm. However, the tattooist refused to do it at the size I wanted and printed it so big it wrapped around my whole arm. I decided on a new place to put it (my ribs - one of the most painful areas I believe) and off we went. The tattooist barely spoke to me during the session and didn't ask me if I was okay at all (and I was in A LOT of pain), he just told me that if I moved he'd stop. Although I am happy with my tattoo, it is not perfectly straight, not in the place that I had wanted it (which I'm 100% sure I could've gotten done elsewhere) and there was NO relationship between the tattooist and I - something I think is very important. I wont ever get another tattoo done here again and don't particularly recommend it to anyone else either. Read Less

Had a liverpool badge tattoo done few years back in llanelli,had to go back and get it re-coloured cos the Red was pink. After a few years couldn't make out what the tattoo was(couldn't see writing and discoloured again). Anyway got sick of my mates making fun of my tattoo and saying get it done properly,so listened to my mate who's had a few tattoos with you so took the plunge Christmas time and had it re-done.
