I had a tattoo done here a few years ago, exotic flowers on my back.The staff were so friendly and professional which is great when you feel a little nervous. I loved the art work they did for me - so much that I went back for more work on it, a beautiful blue green humming bird was added some more amazing flowers -I can honestly say it's the same good experience. I’ve had all 5 of my ear piercings at carvilles as many recommended to me. In December 2017 I went in wanting my belly button pierced and the young lady was happy to do it. I’d been to carvilles many times and I’d never seen her before. I had no experience with belly button piercings so I didn’t know where it was meant to go etc. The lady marked it and I looked in the mirror and everything looked fine, so she pierced it. When I stood up it looked fine and I was so happy with it as I had wanted for so long but 2 weeks later I was forced to take it out by another piercing shop as the top ball had sunken into my belly due to it being pierced too far away. Before I went to the different shop I rang carvilles to ask whether I needed a longer bar and they said no but I had to put a hoop in it until it was properly healed and the swelling had gone down. I ignored the man on the phone as it didn’t seem right, I then rang up again the next day asking if I should put a longer bar again and the man said yes defiantly but they didn’t sell one there, and I mentioned about the hoop and he said no you can’t put a hoop in a belly button piercing. Unfortunately I had to take it out as it completely sunk into my skin and now I look at the scar it is infact wonky. I’m am very annoyed at carvilles and will not be going back!!!! Read Less

Absolutely horrendous, inexperienced, unprofessional, terrible customer service, and even worse piercers. Sister's industrial piercing ripped out a few months later after being pierced completely wrong. Went back to complain and received no compensation or even an apology. They simply said that piercer no longer worked there anymore and that there was nothing they could do. The piercing was agonizing and never healed, and ultimately ripped out of the ear, leaving a chunk of skin missing. Three years later, skin still hasn't healed. Chunk of skin never grew back. My own Daith was also pierced wrong. Positioning is way off and even three years later is causing problems, infections and pain because of how badly it was pierced. Would not recommend to anyone. EVER. Rude staff vacantly stare at your face whilst you complain and try to reason with them. The only response you'll get is "There's nothing we can do". Only care about taking your money. I don't know how they are allowed to pierce anything. Not a respectable business. Read Less

Take your deposit then when you go back decide to ask for id.When you don't have any they refuse to give back deposit.If id is going to be required they should ask when booking. Seeking legal advice to see what can be done about this. Read Less

Just had 2 piercings done, very quick no hassle. Staff greeted me instantly and made me feel very welcome. Very friendly and polite. This place also looks amazing and very clean cannot fault at all. Carvilles is the best tattooist I could go to. They welcome you with open arms and take you in as a family/ friend. The work I have received has been top scale of art work for my body. From a young age I have always wanted tattoos and Carvilles has gone beyond my expectation of amazing work. I've had tattoos and piercings there and I couldn't ask for any other friendly and professional experience that I have received from such an amazing shop.
