Went to accompany my friend getting tattooed and left with a set of lobe piercings. I'm always nervous about piercings, but all the staff were really lovely and knowledgeable and the studio was well laid out and clean. Sometimes when you go to studio's it can be a little cold or intimidating, but everyone at Hand of Mysteries was welcoming and friendly - the atmosphere is great. I've had one tattoo from Holly @ the studio - the thing I really liked was that I came with an idea and image, but they were reworked to make them into a good tattoo rather than just a picture. Got a tattoo from the apprentice Matt Spiers today, and it's honestly my best tattoo experience. Staff are absolutely lovely, a very clean studio, and the design of the studio itself was wonderful. I've been to a few studios now, without finding artists I felt fully comfortable with, but everyone at Hand Of Mysteries were easy to talk to. First time at the studio yesterday having a new piece of sleeve done by Matt Bassil (who is a Legend by the way) and I have to say what a sound bunch of people. Booking in was easy and I was really pleased to find everything was on time when I arrived. About an hour of tweaking and reworking my design before we started, which was mainly my fault, and this was done really quickly with us bouncing ideas around and Matt doing what he does best. Lots of care taken to make sure I⋯⋯ was comfortable before starting (so comfortable I fell asleep for a bit) and have plenty of space at the station; then once going, it was just the most chilled I've ever been during work. Great vibe and tunes being played throughout the day and coming back to the team; they're just very sound and genuinely nice people. Easy to sit there all day and say nothing I guess but when there is banter and good conversation in the studio, it makes the time go very quickly.
