Got my cartilage pierced here..dispite the use of the aftercare kit and being careful not to touch it, I had to take it out after a week. The bar they used was too short to account for swelling. Also, I really hated the waiting area! No room to actually sit because of the stock literally right there and found the lady who pierced me rather rude. Won’t return! Read Less

I've had 14 piercings done at blue banana. The first 12 went fine, recovered fairly well as i looked after them fine. Last week i got two more outer rim (helix) piercings between a rim and a snug i had already. I knew from experience that i should expect redness and swelling and thats exactly what it did. I did notice that the back of the piercing was far further back that my older one but i didn't think that would be an issue as the piercing wasn't necessarily tight. Five days or so later my ear started to swell further to the point where it hurt to move my ear, the bars on the new piercings were unbearably tight. At this point i wanted the earnings out but my ear was so swollen i couldn't take any of my earrings out even ones i've had for years. I was in a lot of pain but decided to go to bed and see someone about it the next day. When i woke up to my horror, due to the stupid placement and tightness of the bars there was not enough room for the normal swelling. They had both sunk into my ear with layers of skin covering the balls on top. There was lots of puss and I was then sure it was defiantly infected and i wasn't going to be able to get it out my self. I was unsure whether to go to a piercer or a doctor. I called the NHS service 111 and i was told to go to a doctors. Thats what i did. Long story short I went to the doctors and 3 different doctors spent 45 minutes trying to get these earrings out. They ended up cutting open my ear and clamping the earrings in order to get it out. It was extremely painful and I was very upset throughout the whole thing. I was however finally happy when they got them out. I can say that i never want to go back in there again and after that very painful experience i wouldn't recommend getting piercings there in the future. Read Less

I have had 4 piercings done here, absolutely amazing and friendly staff who talk you through the procedure and the piercer that I had when I got my right tragus done talked me through how long I’d have to wait before I could change it, cleaning routine etc. They also even help if you have any problems, they were absolutely brilliant when my left ear lobe got badly infected after I wore a pair of Claire’s earrings for a day, they sorted it out and now my ear is absolutely fine. I would definitely recommend this shop for someone who likes alternate fashion or piercings! Read Less

Firstly they pierced the wrong place that's without the fact I'm in A and E now having it removed as it's so infected. I have cleaned it's 3/4 times a day and now I'm in complete agony. Pierced my boyfriends tragus completely wrong! The piercing was done diagonally so that the exit of the piercing was so far into his ear it was actually his tragus it went diagonally through. They used way too short of a bar so his ear swelled up and the ball fell off of the top. £30 wasted. Read Less

PLEASE SHARE so nobody else has to go through the crap with blue banana that i have had too! yesterday i had a piercing at blue banana, they completely pierced it wrong and it looked like this (first picture) after going back today for them to sort it they pushed it back in without even cleaning the area (just shows how hygienic the piercers are really) and told me to keep a plaster on it for a week without taking it off or getting it wet, they said if this doesn't work they ...would cut it out and re-pierce it for free (obviously i didn't want them to re-do it at all) especially after they got it completely wrong the first time!! but after looking at them both it's fair to say neither of them were put in properly! so i had to have both removed!! so please people DO NOT go to blue banana for any piercing go to a professional/hygienic place!! so basically i paid Blue Banana £55 for two scars on my neck thanks a bunch�� i would also like to thank Soniya Mundy so much for removing them properly for me!! Very nervous about having a helix rim piercing and did my research for the best place to go. Lee made me feel comfortable and reassured me everything will be fine and completed the piercing perfectly. Aftercare is second to none, nothing was too much trouble and the friendly staff were all helpful. I have just had my lobes pierced again by Lee and can not recommend enough. I've had both my helix and lobes pierced at Blue Banana. I couldn't recommend it enough, the staff are friendly and helpful as well as the piercing room clean. Boyfriend got 2 lip piercings done in there a while back, 1st was fine, the guy braced himself on the wall to force it though his lip on the second. The worst after care from ignorant staff ever. Arrived late, lights on and door open. Explained the pain from my recent piercing from that store. Staff didnt even look to check it was ok. Leanne is a fantastic piercer , I had my eyebrow done and she was great. Very professional and a spotlessly clean clinic room, very friendly and gave sound advice for aftercare. The rest of the shop staff are fabulous as well, very chatty, friendly without over kill. I got a new piercing in Blue Banana on 18/06/2016. Leanne the piercer, who done my Pinna piercing was extremely nice and super friendly. She spoke to me through the whole piercing process and explained to me, how to clean my new piercing. I also received a ear piercing aftercare guide that is extremely helpful and a beautiful little bag with pure salt that you must pay for and their pro pierce tea tree oil in almond oil that you also have to pay for. The other staff are pleasant to be around. I enjoyed my experience and hope to have many more with Blue Banana. I would recommend Blue Banana to EVERYONE. Read Less

I had the absolute worst experience in this place a couple of years ago. Upon phoning in to request if it's OK to come for a facial dermal piercing I was told it was absolutely fine and they were aware of our distance to them. We arrived and two women were stood at the counter, I mentioned about the call but they sniggered and said "no way not today" and continued to give me dirty looks. Great customer service, that! Hopefully they've changed a bit in the last couple of years. I guess it was a godsend seeing as I went to a much better and friendlier piercing place where I was given an antibrow piercing instead because they refused to do facial dermals because of issues with scarring and such. Blue Banana is an alternative clothing store selling stuff that you normally wouldn't be able to find in other high street fashion stores. I have been here a couple of times in search for fancy dress costumes as they offer things like face paint and neon accessories, but it's not somewhere I would go to for my everyday wear clothing!However, if you are into the goth / grunge / punk trends then you might just love it here, as the stuff they sell is pretty out there. They have a variety of crazy tutus, quirky t-shirts, white foundation (which I am very sceptical of...), piercings, unusual jewellery etc. So if this sounds like your thing, head on down to Blue Banana. It's located just near the "Urban Outfitters" entrance to Cabot, kind of opposite Poundland, so it's fairly easy to find! Read Less
