My brother and I went to several places to get our mothers signature on us. We were turned away by them but not crazy horse. They took us straight away realising the importance of it and we were made to feel like we had known them for years . Went here for my first tattoos. Had exactly what I wanted when I went and booked they said it would be sweet went in on the day told me I had to change my design, gave me 20mins to make a life time decision. Also made me choose a font from WORD!! After 2 years of getting more tattoos I regret these ones the most. Where not welcoming and hardly creative people. Read Less

I went with a friend to get tattoos and Dean was great. He traced a drawing our friend did for the tattoo and was super keen on making sure we got exactly what we wanted. I'm from Canada and have had several tattoos (over 15 actually) from various artists in various cities. I was excited to find Crazy Horse Tattoo when I was visiting Dunedin so I eagerly called to make an appointment. My first disappointment was when I showed up for my appointment, they told me to come back in an hour. That was fine, I went to a pub nearby and tried a local brew. Then I go back and I was getting a small tattoo on my wrist. It didn't take long which was great b...ut I felt like I was significantly over charged for the work. It literally took less than 15 minutes so I didn't know why they charged so much. But again, I let it go. But what really annoyed me was that once my tattoo healed in a couple weeks, the quality was terrible. I take very good care of my tattoos and have never had any issue with how they look once they're healed. This one was so bad that everyone was commenting on how bad it was and I ended up having to pay a local artist to fix it for me. I'm disappointed because it sounds like many others have had great experiences here but I certainly did not. And I'm in Canada so can't just pop back in for a touch up. All the best to you.
