Dropped in on my way round NZ for a Maori/Polynesian leg wrap after finding out the favourite designs I was stumbling across were by Zane @ZealandTattoo. Best decision ever made. Awesome piece done freehand to capture everything about my time here. Fantastic service, amazing work and within budget.

Such a fantastic tattoo experience. I was so worried going in about going in and getting my first tattoo. Zane put me totally at ease! He drew a beautiful design freehand and I was blown away by how great it turned out! Would recommend this to anyone in Christchurch looking to get a tattoo!

Zane is the best! Period! That being said, let me explain:
I was on holiday in NZ and looking for a place to get a piece done.
I emailed Zane at Zealand Tattoo and got a reply very quickly.
He replied personally and explaining that my idea, even though it was cool, wasn't really what I was looking for. I wanted a Maori piece, but was kind of changing the meaning of a Maori tattoo to begin with.
Zane explained to me how that worked and how my piece could look cooler and better and still be true to what a Maori tattoo really is.
The studio in Christchurch is amazing, and the cleanliness and care that Zane puts into his work is flawless. He involves in every step of the way and lets you know about everything that is going on. Even when it's not your first tattoo.
If you're looking to get work done in Chch, this is definitely THE place to go!
Zane is a true artist! Check it out and check his work! You won't regret it!

Zane is definitely one of the best tattoo artist to go to if you want a customized Polynesian/Maori tattoo as he got it all: passion, perfection, high level of hygiene and a lot of experience to get you exactly what you want. I got a very big Polynesian tattoo including chest, back and a half sleeve, which took a few days preparation to get all the details and especially the meanings right as It pretty much tells the story of my life. Since my first session in 2015 and the last one just a few days ago do I get compliments regarding the tattoo from all over the world as it just is something very special for everybody to see. Thanks a lot Zane and looking forward to seeing you again for the next master-piece ;-)

I can highly recommend Zealand Tattoo! I got my Tattoo done by Zane, i inquired about 2 Months ago and i had only a small piece in mind but as time progressed i wanted a pretty big one which was no problem at all. Zane and I ended up with a 14 hour day! After 8.5 hours of tattooing, which took us until 3 in the morning i ended up with an absolute Masterpiece. The Tattoo ended up far better and more detailed than i ever would have thought, cheers for that mate. Zane is easy to talk to, which made time pass faster, and has great design ideas! If you want a Tattoo that is applied with the highest standarts of hygiene and professionalism, Zealand Tattoo is the place to go! You get what you pay for!

By far my worst experience in New-Zealand!
Zane gave my a price for the tattoo and then asked me to make a booking for 250$. But during the appointment she told me that it will cost at least 300$ more...
By far my worst experience in New-Zealand!
Zane gave my a price for the tattoo and then asked me to make a booking for 250$. But during the appointment she told me that it will cost at least 300$ more than what she told me first! This way of proceeding is very incorrect towards customers!
Moreover, the quality of the tattoo us very low, despite the fact that they argue on the quality to explain the overpriced tattoos!
Indeed, I had the feeling that Lone wanted to finish this tattoo as fast as possible in order to be in week-end quickly, and he don't care about the quality and the fact that I should keep this tattoo all my life!
For example, they explained me how it is important to keep a plaster for a few hours after the tattoo, but they forgot to cover the tattoo and I've needed to ask them to do it before to leave the studio!
I would never recommend Zealand tattoo to anybody!

Had a great experience right from the start. Laura was welcoming and took care of booking me in and Lone is a true master at what he does. He came up with a few options I picked one then he went to work. Turned out better then expected. Nice clean, tidy studio with banging music too! Laura made me a coffee and was great to chat to as well. Would recommend this place to anyone looking for awesome detail and sharp lines. Thanks

I was on holiday in NZ and looking for a place to get a piece done.
I emailed Zane at Zealand Tattoo and got a reply very quickly.

Zane is definitely one of the best tattoo artist to go to if you want a customized Polynesian/Maori tattoo as he got it all: passion, perfection, high level of hygiene and a lot of experience to get you exactly what you want. I got my Tattoo done by Zane, i inquired about 2 Months ago and i had only a small piece in mind but as time progressed i wanted a pretty big one which was no problem at all.
