Amazing place- got my nose pierced here whilst travelling in New Zealand because I had heard of their reputation. Most incredible friendly staff. I love my piercing and I haven't had a single issue with any infection or anything, and have used their advice of simply using warm water rather than marketed products, to clean other piercings I have gotten since then, and it has worked amazingly. I'd never been here before but when the artist who did my last one was booked up they recommended here so I figured I'd check it out. I came in on the Monday and they were able to book me on for the Wednesday with Lani. She was great, she seemed excited about the design I was getting and was a good laugh along the way. The studio itself is extremely clean and the staff are very professional while still being easy to get on with. Overall I'm completely stoked with how it came out, even though there was a power cut when we only had a couple of pieces left to do. Naith has really dropped the ball on what I was hoping would my biggest and most awesome tattoo that I was planning for a long time. He gave zero fucks about my tattoo, most likely because it wasn’t his preferred style, but instead of referring me to someone else in his studio, or just straight up say he's not interested, he took my money and really winged it on the day. I do not get why I paid $100 for a deposit if he hasn’t actually done any prior drawing. I had no idea what the final design was going to be until it was heavily inked on my arm and I was truly crushed when I saw what was not at all what I have, very clearly told him that I wanted. I went for a touch up the following month and that time was even worst. Super disappointing experience, never again going back there or recommend this place. Read Less

I was tattooed by Naith and had my ears re-pierced (4mm needle) by Eden and an apprentice (I forget her name). All really chilled despite it being very busy. Tattoo is quality. The only place I trust to get piercings. I've had four ear cartilage piercings done in the past by other places and all of them have had to come out due to hypertrophic scar tissue building up around them. Because of this I was super apprehensive about getting a nose piercing, but these guys are so knowledgeable that I thought I would try anyway. The piercing is perfect, no dreaded red bump in sight, no reaction at all at any point during the healing process, it looks fab, an...d I am very happy because I was fully expecting my sensitive and allergic-to-everything skin to react to the piercing. These guys are the best - professional, knowledgeable, they have fantastic sterile technique (I trained as a vet so I was watching what they were doing) and they use very high quality implant grade titanium jewellery which is press fit (I think it's called) so it causes the least trauma. I needed to have my piercing checked but I was travelling, Absolution went over and above and recommend a lovely lady whom Eden knew personally in Melbourne (amazing aftercare, seriously) - she very kindly checked my piercing free of charge (I was getting a bit of hay fever so she gave me advice on how to avoid irritating the piercing with this in mind), and I have also been given a place to go and get my jewellery changed in the UK (where I live) by someone that Eden trusts who uses the same jewellery. If you are anywhere in NZ, I would seriously consider travelling to Christchurch just to use these guys, they are infinitesimally better than any other studio in NZ and it is clear that they care AND they know what they are doing. I had my first tattoo from Naith this week, it was such a great experience. the studio is such a calming and welcoming space with an amazing soundtrack. Naith was so incredibly friendly it felt like we had known each other for years.The tattoo is a straight up piece of art that I didn't even know was possible to do with a tattoo gun, such a master of his craft.
