Twigs is an amazing tattoo artist. My experience with him was spactacular as he was very patient as this was my first tattoo. He even sat through all of the dumb questions I had, and answered them all in a very professional yet transparent way. Most importantly he is so frickin creative. He took my ideas and transformed them into something I didn't even imagine myself and I was blown away. Everyone else in this tattoo shop is upbeat as well, as they were all smiling and seemed like they enjoyed doing what they are doing.. Take this as a warning! Don't get blended by the nice instagram pictures and waist tons of money for this crappy doodle! The result spokes more than 1000 words After one Year of struggle with myself, I decide to write a review about this studio. I got a appointment by Jordan Clarke for 2500 dollar. They gave me also an offer to spend more than 3000 $! That's a heap of money. A couple of days before. I got the message that Jordan couldn't do the job, because he was sick. The manager recommend another “artist” his name was Rua Henry from Christchurch. Same price. Remember: 8 hours work divided by 2500 $ =312,50 $ per hour!!! There was no aftercare, I had to ask him for a cream after 8 hour’s. His answer: ”naa don't have it “, maybe I should spend next time thousand dollar more to get one. He gave me the hole process the feeling that he wouldn't want to do the job. My pleasant was to get a little cover up at the inside. I told him before. I needed to remember him, his reaction was deep breathing accompanied from a tired “haah”. Thank's for your kindness! We all know, that not all lines could be perfect. But this should be not a problem if you get a pretty good job. If you spend 2500 $ and you get a result like this, no words are needed. After a couple of weeks I walked again inside the studio, to talk to the manager. I tried to get partly of my money back. After a little discussion, I walked out with a 500$-coupon for the same studio. There was no way to get the money back. He tried to gave me a second session. What a great opportunity after this experience! Thanks for that! Would you do it? The parlour is immaculate and staff are friendly enough, however i think it comes down to which tattoist you get as i have had 3 pieces done here and the last 2 have been very substandard for the prices i was charged � I had a polynesian piece($1500) done on my arm(shoulder to elbow) and i have been left with some major scarring on all the solid black pieces through the tattoo. 2 weeks ago i got 3 small words/phrase inked onto my hand($250) and within a week the first word ha...s all but gone so now my tattoo reads the last two words and now looks like a drunken shed tattoo gone wrong � They say cheap work ain't good and good work ain't cheap and i paid bloody good and hard earned coin for these tattoos and have ultimately been left short. I won't name the artists and i had seen plenty of there work beforehand so i did have full confidence in them, maybe just got em a bad day. Anyway it is what it is. #gutted See More Read Less

I knew that I would probably have a tattoo whilst here watching the Lions and had researched various places and Otautahi had best reviews. Walked in to the shop in Auckland which was very bright and vibrant with an idea of what I wanted. I had a fern of which was done freehand by Te Kanawa. Had my tattoo designed and done by Tae, and love it so much! Walked in with only a general idea of what I wanted, and with a few reference pictures she was able to design something that I really loved. The best ever. Not happy with first tattoo (partly my fault) and made a complaint. Giselle, Sam and Jordan were amazing - made me feel listened to and came up with an awesome plan to resolve. I was a walk in consultation today and Sam was so helpful, professional and managed to get the super creative and talented Mike Pope to talk with me about some design ideas. So I came in today for a planning and draw down with no idea about how I wanted the piece to look, only what I wanted the origin of the artwork to be. Not much for someone to go on I know, but the artist I was teamed with - Jordan was outstanding and such a great artist, it felt good to have such a personal tattoo in good hands, Jordan was exceptional and made the whole experience outstanding.
