I can’t recommend Paul enough - he is a gent and a very skilled artist. From concept to completion, his work is always to the highest standard and always heals perfectly. He’s also very easy to talk to and I find the time flies with him in the studio - now it feels like I’m visiting a pal when I have a booking with him. I’ve got 4 separate pieces from him now, ranging from medium to large, and I love all of them. I trust Paul to know what’s going to look best and what works with what I want too. Getting a tattoo with Paul is always a pleasure. His excellent knowledge of his craft means you can work with him to build a tattoo that will look perfect over the years. I've had 6 pieces created by him and never been anything less than delighted with the end result which has always been better than I had imagined. A cursory view of Paul’s portfolio is enough to see that he’s one of the best artists in Ireland. What isn’t apparent, however, is the dedication he applies to his craft, striving to make each piece better than the last. I’ve had quite a few tattoos done by Paul in the last year and I have absolutely no intention of going anywhere else. Aside from the outstanding quality of his work, he’s also an absolute gent too. I have been getting tattooed by Paul Aherne for 4 years now. I ruminated over getting one for quite some time and my best friend (a talented published artist) told me that Paul had the 'cleanest lines' in Ireland. That was 4 years ago and Paul has progressed immensely since then. I now have a sleeve and each tattoo gets better and better, but still remains true to the traditional style that I dreamt of getting. I have gotten compliments on them from people all over the globe and know of people who want to travel a long distance to get tattooed by Paul. Having checked out his amazing work online I went in for a chat and immediately knew that he was going to do a brilliant job. He designed up an amazing piece for me and executed it perfectly.
