Loved my haircut at Two Horses with Izzy!! I was in town visiting and booked a haircut on a whim. Izzy spent such time and care on my cut, leaving my hair looking the best it ever has. My hair is fairly thin, and she managed to make it look voluminous without going to crazy-shaggy-town with the layering. Got my hair cut by Ean at Two Horses today for the first time - best experience. I always find going to the salon anxiety-provoking, especially when I've left it way too long and my hair is really destroyed at the ends, as was the case this time. But Two Horses blew me away - Ean was so knowledgable and did a fantastic, really meticulous job with my curls, but was at the same time very friendly and non-judgemental. She even tried a technique in order to make my hair lie more straight that I've never seen before and it worked like a charm. She taught me how to blow dry my hair to achieve my desired look. Got my hair done by Ean, i usually get blond streaks in my hair but his skill is unmatched. perfect platinum blond currently with the nicest fade from the roots to the platinum, absolutely floored. very professional, he explained how to care for my hair, and spent at least 15min with me before starting to discuss what would work with my natural hair color. went in with a specific idea as to what i wanted, but that turned completely around to something totally diff but i couldn't be happier! great place, great people, and great price!!!! <3 Read Less

Christie gave me one of the worst haircuts I have ever had. Even after I showed her a picture. She hacked my hair into an odd triangle shape - I cried as soon as I got home. Will never return.I did receive a call from the owner who was very aplogetic and offered to fix it for free. Great place, friendly atmosphere. When i came after booking an appointment, the girl wasnt finished, so they offered my a soft drink or a beer, which was awesome. The only drawback is that they don't offer straight shave. When i asked the girl on the phone, she might have not understood it. In any case, make sure they offer what you need before going there. I was itching to do something with my hair - trim, bangs, color, etc., - but I knew I would be traveling for work so I wasn't able to book something in the states. Fast forward 3 weeks later, I'm in Montreal and in search for a hair salon that can not only cover my "dead-in-the-center" intense grey hairs but can maybe guide me to do something different/dramatic. After doing some light research on Yelp (criteria involved good reviews and proximity) I found Two Horses. It was just what I was looking for: urban, hip, fun and out of the ordinary. I don't really get many hair salons in Marin, CA that are both a Hair Salon AND a Tattoo Parlor. I HAD to check it out - I was not disappointed! I was near the area so I decided to look for the place and book an appt in person. They were able to fit me in for the following weekend. On the day of my appt. I showed up 10 min late but Hannah was extremely friendly and patient. She listened to my wants/nice to haves and was very honest about what would/wouldn't work. I went from a fading ombre/bra strap length hair to an A-line/chin length textured bob. I have a ton of hair so it was a long appt. for a root touch up, balayage, and hair cut but time really flew by thanks to all the attention to detail and the open dialogue during the process (along with the random topics of conversation) with Hannah. I never felt rushed and it really was a great overall experience. Next time I'm in town I'll def be coming back! Highly recommend. Read Less

I've been in Montréal for just three months and found my other salon experiences in the city pretty lame (I hate having my beard cut into a triangle, and was always re-cutting it when I got home). Jen at Two Horses had only been working at Two Horses for 5 days when she gave me a great haircut and even greater beard trim. Looks like I found my place in Montréal.
