I got there my first piercing. Reception they were so nice and explained everything perfectly to me. Pat is a great piercer. He pierced my septum and it hurt 0. No pain at all. I was so nervous and to be honest I had almost a panic attack even! But when I saw Pat, and he started to evaluate the anatomy of my ears for the perfect spot, I immediately understood that I have chosen a good place. The only thing is they desperately need to accept credit cards. They only accept cash but don't advertise that, so my husband had to run down the block to the ATM after my tattoo. Only place I'll get piercings. Ever. It is a little bit more expensive than your average 5$ jewelry piercing store, but you get the best piercer in the greater Montreal area. Pat is very sweet and will always explain to you exactly how to care for your piercings. I'm not comfortable with needles and i was able to keep calm when he did the piercing on me. Went in knowing that I wanted my tragus pierced and would eventually get an industrial... Left Mauve with both piercings!! I was a little nervous going in but Pat was very helpful and gave my tricks to calm down. Wow! Loved my experience with Pat Pierce! I got my ear lobes pierced (first piercing ever) and I was super nervous but Pat made me feel more relaxed and comfortable with his sense of humour and the fact that he changed his gloves 10 times and disinfected every surface in the room! Hands down the best place to get a piercing/tattoo. Very clean and the staff is very nice. Christelle (I think that was her name?), the receptionist, was also very sweet and helpful. Overall great experience! I left the place with perfect piercings, nice earrings and a document explaining clearly how to take care of my ears for the next few weeks (plus the tools to help me do that). I came to Mauve one month ago along with my friend to see how come this place has like 5 stars as a rating (... which is often suspicious in my opinion :P). Well today, after I got my industrial piercing amazingly done by Pat and my tattoo (Chinese characters) done also amazingly by James 6 days ago, I can confirm you that it is really the best place for clean, safe and professional tattoo & piercing ! I'll have my consultation in one month for retouching my tattoo (free of charge if you have the cleaning/aftercare kit, which I definitely recommend !) & verify if my piercing is healing properly ! :) The staff is also amazing :D. Got a couple of piercings done by Pat. By far the best place I've gone to get a piercing. Walked me through the whole process from a-z and explained what he was doing at each step. Made sure the placement of jewelry was perfect and explained in detail the aftercare and why I shouldn't do certain things. The staff is super friendly and the shop is super clean. I had an amazing experience with Pat who did my septum piercing. He was extremely friendly, professional, and made me feel at ease from the moment I stepped in the studio especially since it was my first time getting pierced with a needle (gunned my lobes, my teenage self didn't know better). He walked me through every step of the process and addressed any concerns or questions I had. It goes without saying that the studio was exceptionally clean; gloves were changed every time he handled something different. He's also APP approved. What really impressed me was the great length he went to examine my nose and mark the best placement. After the piercing was done he explained the healing process, how to flip it up/down and tighten the balls, and anything else I was uncertain about.Finally, he had the receptionist sit me down to go through the detailed aftercare instructions (few pages long) to make sure I understood it thoroughly. As soon as I left the studio I knew I had to tell everyone to go to him to get pierced if they're in Montreal. Their prices are pretty high compared to other places but you definitely don't want to be stingy when it comes to piercings (and tattoos). They also only use high quality, internally threaded jewellery by reputable brands like Anatometal and BVLA. Highly recommended! Read Less
