Going on to about 3 years ago I got a cartilage piercing at this location while on vacation. After talking to my usual piercer at home, I was told that they pierced my cartilage on an angle which ended up causing scarring that I continue to have to this day​ and can no longer get a double helix pieced on that ear again. My roommate and I went to Anger Ink for their 2 for 1 Wednesday piercing deal and could not have been more pleased with the experience. Vince (the piercer) kept us informed on each step of the process during the piercings, took his time and made sure to answer any questions or concerns that we had, and held some great conversation to keep the mood light throughout the entire session. My roommate got her second lobe piercing on each ear while I got my tragus and helix done. The piercing cost includes jewelry and is super reasonable in my opinion given the time and care that goes into making sure it's done correctly. Was dying to collect money to cover up a tattoo only to end up with another semi unpro tattoo. I was honestly disappointed cus I went all the way to downtown to get a nice looking tattoo only for it to make me wanna cut my hand off tbh. Am still gonna come for a retouch I hope you fix it a bit. I kinda don't recommend . The staff and place is great but the artists are not what I imagined walking in a downtown tattoo shop. Be careful! I think this store clearly does some good jobs every once in a while. My only experience is with their piercings and not their tattoos. It looks like a nice shop at a glance and everything seemed good to go, but I warn you that they are NOT prepared for the worse case scenario. If for some reason something bad (and I really hope it doesn’t happen to you) happens to you from a tattoo or piercing infection, it seems they will choose to cut you off cold turkey. I unfortunately got a major infection instantly after getting my web pierced that landed me in the hospital. It’s been a week and I’m still recovering. I contacted them TWICE and received NO response (I have edited this review to include the emails I sent them). I wasn’t even asking for a refund, just an explanation or if they have any policies in place for these moments. Just disappointed by the complete lack of follow through or acknowledgement that they caused me pain and I had to spend even more money for antibiotics. Everyone at the studio was super nice and took care to let me know how exactly what they were doing and why as well as details for aftercare. I got a nostril piercing re-opened, and I'll probably be back for my next piercing once I commit to it. They helped me find exactly the jewelry I wanted and walked me through the process even though I had clearly done this before. Also pretty reasonably priced. I had an horrible experience at this place. I bought a 50$ pair of earring there. They even charged me the taxes but no receipt (so I guess they keep the taxes they are charging for themselves). I arrived home and realized it was really cheap and falling into pieces. I couldn't even wear them. So I immediately messaged the place asking for their refund policy. They just answered me to come back with them. I came back at their shop and explained my issue and asked for a refund. The girl refused. The owner came and just refused to hear my point pretending he never refunded anyone in 11 years and it was on the receipt (that I didn't get). When I tried to argue with him, telling him it was really cheap stuff sold for 5$ on Amazon, he just started yelling at me going on and on saying he is not refunding anyone. When I tried to show him how cheap it is and asked him if he would buy cheap stuff like this for 50$, he just ran away. In 2018, who yells at an unsatisfied customer! Now I understand the name of the shop "Angerink", they are definitely angry and don't value customer satisfaction. They could have just recognized the situation, made an exception and offer a refund. Such a waste of my time and money. Don't tell me to come back if you knew you would not give me a refund. Even when I asked the girl at the counter to order me something better, she showed me her screen from their dealer (store.painfulpleasures.c…) and it was under 3$ earrings that they are selling for 50$. And she was not ashamed to tell me they have to make money. They are just about money not about customer satisfaction like they are pretending on their website. I wanted to shop local, pay a little more to get my stuff faster than online. What a mistake ! I could have just bought online, get a refund if it was not right and being treated like a valued customer. If you can't provide an outstanding client experience why people would go to your store ? I can't imagine anyone going there for tattoos or piercing. I just feel bad for them and people working there. Horrible customer service!!!  I brought my teenage daughter in to this shop to have her nose pierced. The "receptionist" kept saying "I am just the receptionist I have to make sure the piercer will do it" (my daugher is only 13 years old). So we waited and waited and waited. Nearly an hour later she informed us that he will do it and we filled out all the forms and showed ID. Then waited some more. Finally the piercer came out and looked at our form and said "she's only 13 I need to see if I'm allowed" so off he went again! We then saw him all gloved up with a mask talking to some guy with a dog (which was a red flag to me-re hygiene). They then go into a room and he serves this man without bothering to let us know what was going on. I asked the receptionist again "how much longer" she again said "I don't know, I'm only the receptionist". By then we had wasted about one hr 15 mins. So I had had enough. We left very upset and I told her "your customer service is the worst I've ever experienced. No respect for your clients time". And she literally laughed at us as we walked out the door! Read Less

I went to get pierced there at the end of the day with two of my friends. We were not necessarily expecting getting pierced that day and we wouldn't have minded coming another day if it was too late in the day. The piercer (the owner, Yan Del X) agreed to still take us. He was extremely rude and rushed us through the whole process, even though we were all pretty nervous, but we weren't acting obnoxious. As soon as he agreed to pierce us he told us to hurry up and take off our shirts for the piercing. We felt kind of weird being rushed but understood because it was the end of the day. We did as he told us and hurried up. During the positioning of the piercing, he was complaining about how he was late to go meet his girlfriend for an event, and that now he had to pierce three girls. I thought that was extremely unprofessional and rude, especially since we made him a quick last minute 300$. Also, I now have a crooked nipple piercing, probably because he was too much of a hurry to give a damn.I will never go back to that place and neither will my friends. I guess he thought it was fine to be rude to us since we looked like young naive teenagers, but I feel like every customer should be valued and felt welcome, especially in a nerve-wracking situation. I can't put into words how unbelievably satisfied I am with Yan Del's work! I went to him with an idea and he made my body art a true Masterpiece! Getting a tattoo on vacation seems so cliche with the spontaneity of it all but I can honestly say this was the best memory of my vacation... its forever marked on my body and I will proudly wear his work to show the world. We came from out of town and read up on local tattoo shops wanting matching tattoos. We had seen mostly promising reviews about Anger Ink so we called to see if they did walk ins. We called around 12 noon, right after the shop had opened to see if a walk in was available. The woman on the phone informed us she could make a same day appointment for 5pm with Kevin and took down the information about what we wanted to get. We showed up at 4:30 knowing there would be paperwork to fill out. When we got to the shop they had us fill out the waiver. We had been sitting at the bar for about 10-15 minutes when the receptionist came up and told us that unfortunately Kevin was working on a project that would take him longer than anticipated and that he would not be able to see us today. This was extremely upsetting since we are from out of town and unable to reschedule our appointment. If we had known earlier in the day that Kevin would have not been able to see us we would have tried to make alternative plans, because we were not informed until 5pm all other shops were full for the day. *An experience that started off well, only to end badly * I walked into the shop today to get new earrings for my helix and earlobe. The girl working at the frontdesk was welcoming. She started showing me what kind of earrings they had, when the body piercer came to the front. He ended up helping me pick the correct size for my helix, even sterilized the earring for me and gave me instructions on how to properly put it (his shift hadn't even started so a really big thank you... for taking the time to help me). The girl at the frontdesk helped me pick out a regular stud for my earlobe, I paid and I was happy with the service. However, things took a bad turn when I started asking the girl at the frontdesk about a potential tattoo. I started briefly explaining the design I wanted and how I would like to discuss it with Danny (one of their artist), since it's one of his designs that was, as the French say, "un coup de coeur" to me. The girl buntly told me that Danny only did "big" tattoos, full sleeves, realistic designs and no calligraphy whatsoever. I thought that her information was strange, since their official website states that Danny does calligraphy and pictures of his work on both their website and their facebook page include smaller tattoos located on the chest, shoulder, upper arm, hands and thighs. Not to mention the fact that his tattoo of a delicate feather with beautiful initials was the one that caught my eye and that reflected exactly what I would like to have on my back. After making it clear that Danny would never do my tattoo, because it did not fit his "criteria", she gave me the name of another artist, but his work was simply not what I was looking for. I had previously looked at all the work of each artist and frankly it was Danny's work I related to the most. I was shown a couple of pictures of the other artist's work, before the girl went back to her cash register and ignored me. She barely glanced at me as I said goodbye and left. I am very dissapointed in how our exchange ended. This will be my third tattoo and I have never been spoken to in such a condescending way. Not to mention the inconsistency in what their website/facebook page advertise and what the girl at the frontdesk says. I really took the time to search for an artist that did calligraphy, black and grey designs, realistic feather/angel designs. Just got my helix and targus done by Olivia tonight and she was AMAZING!! She was super informative and made the process very relaxing and I quickly felt at ease. I got my fingers tattooed by Yan. Before even taking an appointment, he warned me about finger tattoos and told me how to take care of it. Once i got there, he took time to get to know me and brainstormed different ideas for my tattoo. The result is sick and what I exactly what i wanted! Also, this kick ass artist sketched my tattoo free hand, no stencils. The lines are straight as arrows! Awesome service and shop as expected. I got tattooed there for first time of my life about a year ago. The staff was nice and friendly. I had an appointment really easily and they didn't ask for a deposit, which was nice. As mentioned, it was my first time and unfortunately the tattoo artist that I had (I don't remember his name) didn't make me feel really comfortable. He made me felt like a stupid teenager who just wanted to act rebel with a tattoo... but it really had an important meaning to me. Anyways, I can understand his point of view and I'm maybe overthinking his attitude. BUT I specifically asked when I took my appointment for an artist who's good with fine lines and precise work... My piece was the map world... and the artist apparently never had seen one before, which seemed surprising to me but anyways... I asked for specific details and it seemed to bothered him more than anything. I was like "I really need the contour of France to be visible and precise" and he wasn't able to find the country on the map... which is ok, but when I showed him where it was, the work didn't get much better. So I kind of let it go, I was kind of happy with his draw and said "ok, let's do this, sorry for taking so long", I was kind of embarrassed but I mean... a tattoo is for life I wanted it to perfect... Turns out it's not perfect. So I went back to the shop and asked for touched up, which he kindly did but... it actually got worst! At the end, It's not exactly what I wanted. The details are not as precise as I had hope, there's a mistake on my map... I asked for very thin lines and they are actually pretty large... I love my tattoo overall but I have to admit that this tattoo shop, or at least the artist that I had, wasn't great. I wouldn't recommend this place. The people that came in behind my husband and I seemed to get great service tho. I guess they looked more like the clientele the shop was aiming for, broke hipsters.
