HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. The other day I went in to the shop with my sister for a consultation. We showed a female artist (she didn’t tell us her name.) what we wanted and she told us she could do it that day around 2/2:30. My sister and I agreed and left to head to a bank and then come back. We waited for over an hour. The whole time we sat there the other artists, including the owner, trashed talked some of the customers. Saying one girl who had left looked like a rather ugly actor (can’t remener which one) and how stupid some of the girls getting piercings were. Once our artist was done she came out and conversed with the other artists. She didn’t know who we were, she didn’t even recognize us and we weren’t gone that long. Eventually they started getting set up for us and she asked if we wanted separate rooms so we could get it done at the same time. I had realized I did not have my ID so just my sister was going to get hers done. I’m not from the area and it was supposed to be a matching tattoo so I walked into the room and asked the artist if she could do it anyways without my ID. She said that she wouldn’t have asked for my ID anyways but that she was sceptical now. I told her I was 20 and she said “hmm I don’t know” and I thought she was going to continue so I stood there. After 30 seconds she looked at me and said “is there a reason you are still standing here” I raised my eyebrows shocked at her response and walked away. I told my sister I wasn’t comfortable giving this woman my money and that I wanted to leave. I walked up to her again and told her that I thought she had been rude to me and that my sister and I were going to take our business elsewhere. My sister has had three great experiences there but has never seen this artist there before. If I was the owner I would get rid of her in a heart beat. She tainted their seemingly good name. Went in with a design my sister put together for me, and booked with Devin. He was happy to do my tattoo exactly how my sister originally created it, while adding his own awesome talent and adding a bit to balance it out and make it look amazing. Devin was great to chat with for the duration of my piece, and it was such a positive experience. He answered all my questions and even taught me a little about tattooing while he was doing it, which was super cool. Devin is very personable and a really great guy. And my tattoo looks incredible. I just got my 2nd tattoo done by Drew Wellington. He was awesome he took his time and was very good at slowing down when the pain was getting to hard. Got a tattoo yesterday on the inside of my forearm by Drew. I had asked for Sparky & Persephone from Frankenweenie, Scraps from Corpse Bride and Zero from Nightmare before Christmas♡ I absolutely dig it! He presented to me what he had drawn up for me, it was far beyond anything I could've fathomed and he tattooed me like a boss. Iron Mike did my wife's first tattoo yesterday. Mike is easy to work with and his 25+ yrs experience shows. While his language might be a bit "rough" for our tastes, it did not deter from the experience that we had. He is very willing to explain what he is doing and answers all your questions very truthfully. His talent shows through in the detail of his work. I looked at my wife's tattoo this morning (hummingbird and flower) and simply am amazed at how crisp his lines are. I visited the shop for piercings very recently (walk in) & it was the best piercing experience I could ask for. Realitively inexpensive, experienced piercer, who made me feel comfortable...
