Perfect Image puts the P in Perfect. In all my overall experiences of getting my belly button, septum, tongue and my tattoo. I have had nothing but good experiences. The staff overall is very helpful and open to answer any questions. They’re also helpful online if you don’t have time to call in. They’re the only piercing and tattoo place I trust. May be a bit pricy but it’s worth your money to purchase a good expensive piercing or tattoo than get something cheap and done wrong. I will continue to go to PI for any future piercing or tattoo I wish to get. :) Read Less

This is by far the worst tattoo/ piercing studio I have ever been to. The staff is rude, cold and intimidating each time I have entered their shop(today was my third and last visit). They make me feel stupid, uncomfortable and very rude. I went in to get my nipple ring removed which I had been having trouble with for months, and the girl treated me as an inconvience. She gave one word answers to my questions of concern and then proceeded to spray her hair with dry shampoo or hairspray?? WHILE I WAS STILL IN THERE. Did not even look at me to say goodbye. I was going to tip for the service however now I will never be returning. In addition, they require payment prior to your tattoo or piercing which, although I understand to ensure the artist is paid, seems very backwards to me because their servies are so terrible and they overcharge. Piercing process seemed a touch rushed, not super personable. But I was personally pleased with the speed only because I knew what to expect and she seemed incredibly confident in what she was doing. The worst experience here. Tattoos and piercings are overpriced. The tattoo they designed for me looked like something I could’ve drawn (and I have 0 experience drawing). They made me pay a $50 deposit before giving me this drawing and after receiving the sketch, there was no way I was getting it permanently on my body. Excellent experience with my tattoo, piercing could be better. When I got my first tattoo at Perfect Image Waterloo I was amazed with the service and recommended this location to a lot of people. The artist was kind and gentle. Most of the staff are also really kind and knowledgeable. Other members are knowledgeable, but have a rough hand when handling piercings. I've been to other perfect image studios in different towns and the service I had was much more gentle. This time I felt that I was rushed and the person wasn't as gentle as they could have been. I have been going to perfect image for about 4 years and have received 1 piercing and 7 tattoos here. For tattoos I have seen a couple artists who are no longer at PI and more recently I've been seeing Liz. Liz has done two of my tattoos and fixed one I had done elsewhere. Liz is incredibly creative and tattood the inside of my ear which almost everyone who comments on it says how they have never seen this done before. She is also incredibly talented with water colour pieces. When I have seen her she will let me know if my design expectations are reasonable or if my placement needs tweaking which I appreciate as I'm stuck with a tattoo forever. One of my favourite parts about Perfect Image is how clean the shop is. I have been to a large majority of shops in the area and none were as clean or organized as PI.Although Perfect Image is a little more on the expensive side compared to other shops in the area, it is 100% worth it. I'd rather pay more and know I'm in a clean shop getting a great tattoo instead of saving a bit of money and ending up with a subpar tattoo or worst of all an infection. Read Less

I went to get a conch piercing there. I wanted a ring for my conch, and they didn't say anything, just pierced it and put a ring in and charged me. Two weeks later I had huge Keloid scar. I went back and all they said was to not touch it and that it should heal. Went to another piercer. He told me that he would never pierce a conch with a ring and that the jewelry was cheap and not helping. I'm thankful I went to the other guy because he changed it and educated me so much. Knowing what I know now, I'm shocked and really alarmed that they never thought to educate me or warn me against getting a conch with a ring. Read Less

Very clean and professional but way overpriced. Paid $140 for a 20 minute tattoo and have gotten bigger tattoos for less money elsewhere that were just as good. The experience was good overall but due to high prices I probably won't be back.Read Less

Extremely rude and unprofessional service. Pick a better place when getting a piercing done. I got a piercing four months ago and they whole time it just kept being infected and wouldn't heal. I went back to ask them and they just told me to stop touching it but didn't help me at all. They were really rude and had no understanding of customer service whatsoever. Feeling frustrated I decided to go to another place and they told me it was infected because the jewel is too short and it's hurting it more. My piercing is finally healing. Two weeks ago one of my friends went to get a piercing at Perfect Image as well and they same thing happened to him. We went in today and they didn't not help at all. The lady couldn't even look at my friend in the eyes while she said 3 words: "don't touch it." Extremely rude and unprofessional service. Pick a better place when getting a piercing done. Read Less

I went in yesterday for my first tattoo. The staff was very friendly. My tattoo artist was Adam. I got a small wrist tattoo, and I was pretty nervous but even then he was super kind, funny and reassuring. I started feeling dizzy in the middle, he stopped as soon as I told him and went next door to get me juice. He made the experience so much less painful & better overall. The whole process probably took about 15-20mins max. Will definitely come here for my next tattoo, and I'll definitely recommend this place, especially Adam to my friends :) Thank you so much for the amazing service! Read Less

this place is absolutely horrible I do not recommend going there ever. They are so rude and they judge you so much. I've gotten 2 piercings done by the guy with the long beard and tattoos and he pierced my cartilage wrong and had to take it out. I also got my belly button pierced and he kept telling me to stop flexing when I wasn't. Everyone is just so rude and not welcoming. Hate this place. So, I wanted a small wrist tattoo done and messaged the lovely people at Perfect Image about it, and to my surprise, they were able to do it the same day. The whole process only took about 45 minutes from the time I walked in to the time I left, and the entire experience was very positive. The staff at the counter were super friendly and knowledgeable, and reassuring ( I am a big chicken.) The tattoo artist Elizabeth, was honest, funny and amazingly gentle. The tattoo hurt WAY less than I expected, which is always a plus. The script I had done is very pretty and I am very happy with how it looks. First impression: this place looks a lot fancier than other tattoo/piercing locations. As in, its open, spacious, has large screen monitors, hardwood floors, earrings in lit up displays, curtained off individual rooms, a nice bathroom etc. I was expecting a very decent experience. Firstly, it took a while before I got someones attention to let them know I was there for an inner conch piercing. Then, the person who gave me the consent form just left to serve another customer which was OK but she never came back to check on me. I had to wait a while longer for someone else to take the form and payment. Its $30 plus tax so It was a lot pricier than my other piercings. This is the most off putting part. I had to wait TWO HOURS when I was told a few minutes. I mean I waited before at another location but they gave me a good time estimate and I could walk around and come back. They don't have free guest wifi either. There was one piercer. I heard a lot of customers around me asking the receptionist to check how many people were in front of them and they were also complaining about the long wait. During piercings and in between patients, the piercer would chat with other employees so it increased waiting even more. Keep in mind I believe the other place had just as many customers but just way higher efficiency.The piercing itself was quite comparable to my others I guess. Everything seemed sterilized and she marked where the piercing would be beforehand. Inner conch hurt the most and healing does suck. I would just much rather have a piercing done well, fast and relatively inexpensive rather than getting the slight perk of a pretty ambiance. Read Less

I got my nose pierced here. It looks like a nice place, and is set up really nicely, but that's the only nice thing about it. The guy who pierced my nose was SO rude and was BARELY informing at all. This made the experience worse . I also couldn't have anyone in the room with me which was ridiculous cause I needed moral support and was TERRIFIED like most people.I also did not get to pick the type of metal or the jewelry I wanted other than just picking between a ring or a stud. Plus, they force their aftercare products on you when you could easily find them at your local drugstore. Please don't pick Perfect Image as your first choice.. Read Less

I've had my 2 piercings done with Perfect Image and the first was my belly button and I was happy with that. The girl who pierced me was nice and patient. It was my first body piercing so I was nervous.My second piercing was my nipple and I got this guy with the long beard with tattoos. I don't know if he hates his life or job but he's miserable and rude. I was more nervous about this piercing than belly button and he wouldn't let anyone that day be accompanied by their friends. Almost EVERY one who came in for a piercing brought a friend for support and no one was allowed in. I get if there's no room...but there's plenty of room in there and my friend was with me in the room when I got my belly button pierced.I was shaking out of nerves for this piercing and he just bluntly told me to stand still and sit and he pierced it right away without letting me see his markings for placement. No comfort, no aftercare talk except for wash with unscented soap for 6weeks. I'm just disappointed with the experience. The piercing in the end is fine but I won't go back regardless of the $30 deal offer. I'll spend extra money for better experience and expertise. Read Less

The male piercer here with the long beard is always so rude. He changed my tongue piercing a while ago and was making me feel stupid the whole time because I didn't stick my tongue out enough. He pierced my helix and I ended up having to go to get it fixed at a different parlour and turns out he used the wrong jewelry and pierced a bad spot. Jesse from Thrive said it looked like whoever did the piercing was inexperienced. I just went with my friend and he basically insulted her out of getting anything done that day. But the biggest thing is that he is such a jerk to the customers. The girl with him at the counter looked super apologetic as we were leaving. I have gotten five piercings done at perfect image and I used to love it but I will never go back as long as he is the one working. If you go there and he is your piercer I seriously recommend you backup and go somewhere else. Read Less

I have been here to get my belly and ear pierced couple of times now. Turns out, they switch piercers frequently. I have had bad experiences with the attitude and rudeness of the people working at the front desks. I came here on Wednesday to get my nose stud changed. I had such a terrible experience. I bought a stud and a ring and I requested to get my current stud switched with the rings.First off, she didn't sterilize the jewelry. Huge warning signs here. I have been to other piercing parlors downtown Toronto and all their jewelry came in a prepackaged bag, sterilized. For me, I watched the people at the front touch it with their bare hands put it in a bag as if it were clean for me. I assumed the piercer would sterilize it before putting it on me. But don't assume that here. I went into the piercing room, was told rudely to sit down. The piercer throws on some gloves and quite literally harshly pulled my old jewelry out of my nose and told me that it shouldn't be hurting. Before i even had a chance to collect myself (it was really, really painful). She forced the new, sterilized jewelry into my nose. At that point, i was in tears. She also made huge remarks about how they (previous piercers) don't use the same jewelry here. I suppose she had to prove that their jewelries were better by deliberately and forcefully switch my piercing? I left in pain.I felt like/know that she really doesn't care about me or my piercing and just wanted to "get it over with", a good example of poor customer service.Overall, I should have listened to all the people who told me to avoid PI Waterloo. Don't expect any kind of care. Do not take your chances despite their convenient location. I suggest taking the time to go somewhere decent instead. Probably never returning here ever again and I won't recommend a friend this place. Read Less

Came here and got a cartilage (helix) piercing done while they were doing their summer promo ($30 for any piercing). Piercings are walk-in only, so you might have to wait. There was a group of 3 girls getting their belly buttons pierced before me, so I probably sat around waiting for about 15-20 mins. I was pleasantly surprised by the location, which was a lot larger and brighter than I expected and thankfully looked very clean. I felt at ease going in. In terms of my piercing experience, it was actually excellent. The girl who pierced me was very professional, knowledgeable and friendly, she told me exactly what to expect and made me feel relaxed. The process was super quick and painless. She also gave me advice on products to use to clean the piercing, which can also be purchased here. I've had no problems with the healing so far, and actually had such a good piercing experience that I considered going back again soon afterwards to get my tragus done (but ultimately decided to postpone it.) Overall would recommend this place for piercing! Could be quite pricey if they're not doing the promo, but I believe they continue to do $30 piercings on Wednesdays all year round :D Read Less
