All I can say is, you get what you pay for. Yes the piercings are quite high in price, but Ivana did such a great job and made me feel comfortable, talked me through the entire process and was very kind. Rude, disrespectful, and overpriced. I absolutely do not recommend anyone who wants custom work done to go there. And anything not custom, you can get elsewhere for half the price. I am so happy I found this place on Yelp! I lost a piece of my jewellery in my sleep (LOL) and woke up in a panic needing to find a place in the area to replace it! I walked in right at noon when they opened and was greeted by two people with energy and smiles! I was super pleased with how clean the place was and how busy it was! That's always a good sign!!! Ilana the piercer came to help me pick new jewellery and she was SUPER HELPFUL AND SO COOL! She knew exactly what she was talking about and made sure she cleaned her hands and used new gloves every time she touched me. I am so impressed with this place. I'd rather an artist tell me the unfiltered opinion based on their experience rather than someone who will let me get a tattoo that may not age well (for example). I got my first tattoo a few weeks ago and as a fickle soul, I am happy to say that I am still very much so in love with my little banger. Everyone that I came in contact with was so accommodating. The tattoo artist that worked on me, Mike, exhibited nothing but the utmost patience and care when it came to my tattoo. He explained the process and eased my concerns. A few days ago i spontaneously got my bellybutton pierced here by Ivana. All the people working there were so nice and so funny and i felt very welcome in the store. The front desk staff Em and the owner (whose name slips my mind now) were very friendly talkative and a pleasure to deal with. Really breaks the stereotype of a typical "tattoo parlour". As such the clientele tends to be a little older and more professional, which also made me feel much more comfortable. This is not a place to get ...something "quick and cheap", this is where you get a detailed, one of a kind work of art done. Some people complain about the prices, however, in life you get what you pay for. I had the privilege of having my work done by Lu. She is incredibly talented, a true artist and a great person all around. Lu is easy to talk to, laid back, and full of ideas and creativity which made the experience even better. I gave Lu an idea of what I wanted and let her have a bit of creative control with the design. I make jokes about getting nose bleeds north of Bloor Street. But last night I made the trip to the shop and had the privilege of being Lu's canvas for an hour. Staff is amazing. Vibe is fantastic. 2.5/5.Customer relations is lacking at this shop. I've been following their work for quite a while, before Lu became their star artist even. I've been in the shop three times in my life to get a quote from them. The first time was to find the cost of a piercing - probably back in 2010/2011, which was overly expensive. The only good thing from this experience was that the receptionist was actually friendly. The second time was mid-2015. I wanted to get a small tattoo - an outline that was 2x2 inches. The receptionist was incredibly snobby and didn't seem like she wanted my business. She suggested I fill my tattoo idea with black in some areas, which I was reluctant to do. She seemed to entertain my idea, until I asked how much it would cost. Her whole attitude changed at that point. I was quoted $250 for a non-fill, and $350 if my tattoo was filled. Seriously? A 2x2 black outline filled or not filled for that much? I asked the simple question of what their minimum deposit was, but she said she wouldn't take it from me because it seemed like I didn't know what I wanted, and went of on a small rant on no-shows - mind you, I do know what I want but the price was just double/triple what I was quoted at other tattoo shops in Toronto. I just wanted to know how their deposit policy worked. The third time I went, it was a bit better. It was in October 2015 to get a quote for a filler tattoo, a symbol in black. The owner was there to quote me this time. I was immediately greeted when I walked inside, and when I showed him that I wanted a filler tattoo next to an existing one, he looked at me and asked me why I didn't just go back to my other shop. I was confused because I thought he would want my business. Anyway, he didn't give me a quote right away, asking me what shop I went to, who did the existing piece I did have, and how much they charged me. That's when he gave me a quote. I said I would think about it and left. I don't know why he refused to give me a quote until I answered all his questions. It was bizarre.Overall, I can tell that this shop has talented artists: Lu and Nina, but based on how reception has treated me, that is where things fall short. Read Less

Very over priced for what you receive. My 4th tattoo only took 45 min hardly any color and $350. Way over priced. Owners were nickle and diming me and already paid deposit so went ahead. No issue with artist but did not get what I wanted as when my appoint time came he tried to get another 100 saying it would be 2 hours and a lot of work. I had my first tattoo done at Dreamworx by Nina and I was completely impressed and blown away by the entire experience. The atmosphere was very welcoming and the people working there were great. Nina, the artist was also very skilled and warming. Since, it was my first tattoo she made the experience very comfortable for me. Dreamworx did my first tattoo last night, and it could not have been a better experience. The owner is very helpful and runs an extremely clean and professional shop. They were very accommodating when booking an appointment that fit with my schedule. All of the staff were patient and reassuring in answering all of my first-timer questions. Regarding the tattoo itself, I am extremely happy with the result! Although small, my design was very intricate (a memorial paw print) and... the tattoo matches the original print perfectly. My artist, Dom, was endlessly kind and knowledgable and she truly made my first tattoo a fantastic experience. Her patient and meticulous nature ensures that you leave the chair with a tattoo that not only meets but exceeds your expectations. I just recently had my first tattoo done at dreamworx ink and I have to say what an amazing experience I had with them! Dreamworx is filled TONS of really talented artists, their place is incredibly clean which really put my mind at ease, even the artwork decorating the lobby is enough to wow anyone! Lu is the artist I chose to do my tat and I now have this awesome piece of art to thank her for!
