I happened upon Tatarama by sheer luck. Never had tattoos. Always thought I would get one at least. I started my tattoo adventure at 60 and now at 62 have 3 beautiful tattoos done by the amazing Eugene, Sky and a former artist Ethan. I can't say enough good about this place. They are so artistic, helpful, knowledgeable and just great people. And clean. Really important. Needless to say, I am going back to get a little bit more done.... Am absolutely thrilled with this place and have recommended it to friends and even strangers who admire the work. Thanks. So I unfortunately got Evan and Ethan confused. I had a full sleeve done by Eugene over a few months this year. He was great to work with, professional and incredibly creative. He listened to my ideas but ultimately I had full trust in him to create an amazing design. He knows what will look good and right and trusting him was the best decision I made - my sleeve is exactly what I wanted and more, I didn't expect it to turn out this perfect for me to be honest, but it is gorgeous and people are constantly commenting that it is one of the most beautiful they have seen (when I was in Vegas a guy writing a book on tattoos told me it was one of the most unique and beautifully done he had come across). I'm so happy I made the choice to work with such a talented artist, Eugene made a long and involved process truly enjoyable - my sleeve is a work of art! For a person getting a tattoo for the first time, this place provided the best service I could imagine. Skye was so endearing and helpful, not to mention a great tattoo artist. Sky was terrific! She did a great job and made the whole process very enjoyable. I have to say though there is one thing I really didnt enjoy and that was the treatment I got from Eugene (who I assume is the owner). This was only my second tattoo and I was looking for some professional guidance from Eugene . All I got was grief. His surly behavior wasn't warranted. The reason I stayed was because of Sky. I was here about 5 years ago to get a paw print tattoo. It was just a walk-in and at the time I was expecting to come back to get it done. That wasn't the case. I actually met with Eugene, who I believe is the owner, and he was great. I presented him with a lot: some designs I had printed off of various paw prints as well as wing designs and halos. I wasn't sure between the two. But Eugene was able to explain to me what the difference in size would be if I went with wings or the halos over the paws. It made it so much easier to make the decision. He asked for about an hour to come up with a design for me: 4 paw prints with a heart in the centre of each, and halos above the first two for cats who have passed. What Eugene came up with was simple but exactly what I had envisioned. Annnd I had the tattoo done that very same day which I wasn't expecting at all. Eugene did a great job and I would recommend seeing him if you decide to go to this particular shop. But do be aware that you'll have to book ahead of time. I just happened to get lucky that day because usually he books 1-3 months in advance. Read Less

I was with my sister when she went to see about getting a tattoo today. Though they did say that Saturday service was first come first served, they also said that they open at 12pm. We arrived just before 11. The shop said it was closed, but we did go and stand outside. Eventually a man came and invited us in. He did apologize for not being able to do my sister's tattoo, but we were frustrated with the misrepresentation of the opening time. If we had known that he would... be there earlier, we would have been there earlier. So we said as much and that we would write a review, then we left. He followed us out onto the street, yelling about how we can write whatever review we want but that he had done the best he could. Until that point, the only complaint we would have made in a review would have been to complain about the misrepresentation of the opening time. However, the fact that he followed us onto the street yelling at us the entire while was really disturbing. He followed us back to our car, and it was only when I turned and said, "Sir, this is highly inappropriate," that he turned and went back to his shop. I have 6 tattoos from 4 different shops in the GTA... just cuz they aren't visible these people treated me like I was an idiot. This shop is awful. They're disorganized and unprofessional. The receptionist seems like a total idiot. They advertise walk-ins every Saturday. I called ahead twice and was told they had capacity. My mom and I went in and wanted simple tiny matching "xo"... woulda taken maybe 10 mins each. We were told this would cost $100 each and take 45 minutes each. We went in and were told to wait. After a few minutes they said they couldn't take us because the tattoos we wanted were too "detailed". We went across the street to grab some stuff st Shoppers and on our way home saw that they had other people waiting for walk-ins. Over all the worst tattoo shop I've ever seen. Coming from a person with 6 tattoos from 4 different shops across The GTA... this one is NOT all that it's hyped up to be. Read Less
