I had a smiley piercing done by Ashley a couple months ago and the service was absolutely terrible. She was extremely rude from the second I walked in the shop. She free handed the piercing which ended up completly off centre and when I questioned it she said it is the way the webbing in my mouth is and that it will move around as it heals. Once it was healed I consulted another piercer who agreed that it was not done right and should be fixed. Ashley had no problem with redoing it free of charge however she put it back in the same spot. So unfortunately my only options were to take it out or go to another piercer and pay to have it done properly. Do not recommend going here for a piercing. Read Less

Had a walk-in smiley piercing done a couple weeks ago. As soon as I walked in I felt like an inconvenience to the piercer even though she said they take walk-ins. The placement of my piercing was crooked because she didn't mark it and just went at it free hand with absolutely no warning. I wasn't given a sheet about aftercare even though it was in the contract I signed that I would be. So now it's 2 weeks later and my piercing is even more crooked and uncentered because its migrated and I'm just really not pleased with the whole experience. Cleanest and friendliest shop in town! When someone asks me to recommend an artist I will always recommend Amy! Not only does she take your idea and make it how you want it but she puts her own little twist into it which tops it off! Keeps me going back for more! In the fall of 2016 I was checking out possible tattoo artists to complete a sleeve for me after my original artist and friend switched cities and careers. I started a Facebook post asking my friends their preferences among the artists in Sudbury. After receiving their picks, I personally checked out their work. One artist mentioned several times was Amy. I walked into her shop on a Saturday and even though she was in the middle of working on a client, she stopped to come see... me. I told her about my intentions and showed her a few phone pics and she immediately had ideas which she threw at me. Not only was I impressed with her recent work, but this impressed me as well. I booked a bunch of sessions with her this winter/spring and each time I walked in, she was ready for me. I'd email her photos for ideas, and when I'd arrive, the stencil was ready to be pasted on, already sized and often with her own spin. Very professional, yet, down to earth. Amazing staff here I have been coming here for a few years now and I feel like I’m at home when getting worked on by Glen, Amy and Lisa, I’ve also had a piercing done by Ashley and it was a great experience. Even the receptionist Chad is great he’s funny and loves to talk. The whole staff here is amazing I’ll never go elsewhere for tattoos or piercings this is where I’ve decided to spend my money! Glen "the apprentice" was more than amazing for my sons first tattoo and for my first tattoo at Twisted Doll (not my first tattoo). The cleanliness, friendliness and welcome drew me in when I went to check out the tattoo parlour which led me to making an appointment with Glen. I got my navel pierced here nearly eight months ago and recently found out BioPlast jewellery should not be worn in healing or fresh piercings. I was pierced with a BioPlast barbell. Beyond this, Ashley was rather curt with a friend of mine who, after having her nose pierced, wanted advice for her hypertrophic scar several weeks after. Rather than offer a way to bring the bump down, my friend was curtly told to /never/ use sea salt soaks after two weeks. To each their own, but I find sea salt works wonders on hypertrophic scarring. As my 5th tattoo, I was expecting the usual fun tattoo experience. This was so much more! I was quite nervous as I was getting a memorial tattoo, but Glen made it even better than I ever imagined. He was very thorough and open with discussion throughout about his artistic ideas and making sure it stayed true to the design. I am in the process of getting a half sleeve done by Amy at Twisted Doll and I am genuinely happy with my decision. Not only with Amy but Twisted Doll in general. The people that work at Twisted Doll have a very good dynamic. They are like a little work family. They smile and joke around to make sure the mood and atmosphere are always positive and happy. Not only that but they are very inviting to clients and they make them feel like a friends when they come in. The work Amy ...has done on my tattoo so far is impressive. She has a lot of experience allowing her to work fairly quickly yet she has great attention to detail and does not rush. I have also seen the work of Lisa and Glen and they are fantastic as well. I hate to leave negative reviews, but recently I took my little sister to get her nose pierced- which was her first piercing, and the woman who does piercings here, I think her name is Ashley, was SO incredibly rude and unwelcoming that I felt the need to share my thoughts on the experience, regardless of whether she was just having a bad day or is always like this. From the moment we walked in we both felt like she didn't want us there, and when we tried to ask simple questi...ons like if there was a bathroom or if all the jewelry was the same price she was really short with us. When she drew the dot on my sisters nose for placement, my sister asked me how it looked and I said it looked good, but if I were her I would go a little more forward because thats where my nose ring is placed- to which the pierced replied that she would never piece that far forward because it looks like a witches wart... It was her first piercing so she made a pretty big deal of the pain and I was trying to calm her down while the piercer said absolutely nothing and didn't even try to comfort her, just continued to make us feel uncomfortable. We both got such a strong sense she was extremely annoyed with us and just wanted us gone that we were too scared to ask her to repeat the cleaning instructions because she said them so quickly.
