Amazing quick service very kind and informative people. got a nose piercing done, and my peircer showed me him opening the equipment from a new staralized package and made my experience as enjoyable as possible, and made me comfortable. Went here to get a tiny tattoo done for a walk in. Didn’t have a choice of who I got as an artist, but James was available so I got him. I got a quarter sized zodiac symbol on my wrist. It is the most basic tattoo and simple lines but he some how managed to completely screw it up, I wouldn’t go to him for bigger work either. Not only is the tattoo the worst tattoo I have ever seen, James was rude and obnoxious and spent the whole time bragging about how he had been tattooing longer than anyone in the city. He bad mouthed countless tattoo artist in Ottawa who all happen to be 10000 times better than him at their jobs. He made my friend and I feel uncomfortable from his attitude. I had an awful experience here. Having a consultation with James and being told that my idea was stupid and that he is better than anything with an infinity symbol and then trying to justify him bashing my idea with a "well it wouldnt work anyway". The whole interaction was rude and unnecessary. They get two stars only because the receptionist was nice and i dont know if it was just him being a jackass or if the whole studio thinks they are above their possible clientele's ideas. Read Less

I have gotten all of my piercings here (except first lobes which I had done when I was a few months old) and I have had absolutely no issues. I had my industrial and second lobes done at the same time by Jenn, and she was awesome!! Then a few weeks later I had my rook done by Beth, and again, was awesome!! Two weeks after that, I had my double helix done. After a couple months, I went back for my tragus and daith, and I'm as happy as ever!! Within days of each piercing, I was sleeping on them as if they weren't even there! I wouldn't even wake up sore. I have had no infections (despite my habit of touching the piercings...), like I'm still amazed at how well they've been healing! The place itself is very clean, and both Beth and Jenn will walk you through the process of your piercings and show you the sterilization process as well! Not to mention how friendly everyone there is! All staff is so warm and absolutely hilarious!! My husband and I got maple leaf tattoos to commemorate our trip to Ottawa for Canada's 150. We had James as our artist. We are absolutely thrilled with his work. Best tattoos we've gotten. After reading online reviews I decided to go to Beth at Silverline. Overall I was very happy as she was friendly, professional and competent. As I was getting only my earlobes pierced, I think it was fairly straightforward as piercings go. My only (minor) issue was that when I arrived, they didn't have any new titanium earrings available which was a surprise since I'd called ahead of time to check if they had them available and that had been one of my deciding factors between Silverline and other tattoo shops. The guy at the front then proceeded to try to convince me that surgical steel was just as good. Given I had a family history of pretty severe Nickel allergies I didn't want to take the chance. After waiting 10 min or so for Beth to become available and to check the backroom, I found out they were able to find some titanium posts available. Beyond that minor issue, everything else went very smoothly. Beth made an obvious point to show me everything (including the trays of sterilized equipment) and explain the full procedure. I personally didn't find the experience that painful, and it was very quick. End result was as perfect as I could expect and I've had little pain or issues healing. Obviously going to a professional piercer is going to be more expensive than a mall store ($70 for both lobes, + $15 for the titanium upgrade + tax) BUT at the end of the day, should you really be cheaping out when it comes to getting someone to stick holes in you? All in all, I was very happy and would recommend this shop to anyone! Read Less

Made a call for a quick appointment, they were very accommodating. Nate was me tattoo artist, and an artist he was without a doubt. Not only did he do a beautiful job, but took the meaning of my tattoo and made sure that it was exceptional! My tattoo was for the loss of my baby, he took that information and softened the picture I had brought in to honour such a little angel. I could not be happier. James is a great tattoo artist, form his Years of experience as a artist to where it shows in his work all the way on how it feels while he is tattooing your art on your body, he is also great person to talk too. So if your a first timer to tattoos or someone that just need a New artist check him out. The healing time is short and the final product looks amazing. This was my first time getting a tattoo done at a tattoo shop. Nate was my artist and he did an amazing portrait of my two dogs. Went here about 2 weeks ago..I was a walk in and wanted a tattoo on my front part of my wrist. I showed the guy what I wanted and he fixed it up to exactly what I enacted and was able to take me right away. The price was right on my budget and he did a fantastic job! The tattoo artists and piercers are really talented, just from what I've heard about them and the process they use. Years of experience and a passion for it too. Some of the best in Ottawa. I haven't gotten one myself, but I spent some time around the store.As well, they sell accessories like piercings, but also this tattoo shop is attached to another building that has a great collection of smoke accessories. Pipes, papers, smoking tobacco, etc. Nice selection, good prices, and all in a pretty cool down-to-earth environment.The business itself has one of the best downtown locations, in my standards. Easy to access by transit, just take any bus to Rideau mall and walk. But not too loud, like some of the street vendors. My wife and I have both gotten tattoos here and they turned out amazing.Prices are very fair compared to other shops. Everyone is very professional and polite. The shop is very clean and sterile.
