The workers are nice but the skill/professionalism leaves something to be desired.I went in to get snakebites and the piercer, Matt, had to redo the same side 3 times and it's still pretty crooked. I am SO disappointed.He was shaking so, so bad the entire time and I'm not exactly sure why. It was a very chill environment but as soon as he picked up the needle he was visibly shaking.When I drove all the way back to the location to get it adjusted for the third time he same piercer had a very eye-rolling and condescending response at first even though I was the one apologizing for coming back and taking more of his time (even though no one else was there getting pierced)He told me, "Well the woman at the desk and everyone else said they're straight." and shrugged at me. "Yeah everyone thinks they're fine but whatever." was his response. I was shocked he spoke like that at all. You're piercing my face with a metal rod. If it's not where I want it, as a "certified" technician, you do your job and appeal to the customer's specifications. I didn't ask what the lady at the desk thinks. I'm the one who has to look in the mirror. Sheesh. My mom also got a tattoo here and the level of detail is purely minimal. She won't be getting more here and I won't be going here for anything else either.My piercings are still crooked by the way but I'm going somewhere else.

I have been to New Moon in the past for tattoos and pretty well all of my piercings. The experiences have always been nothing short of spectacular! Rewind to two weeks ago - I was booked to have work done at a different studio with a different artist. That studio called me, not once, but twice to cancel on me. Frustrated, I called New Moon and spoke with Matty (who is absolutely an amazing human being!). He told me to come in and book a consultation, which I did that same day, and two weeks later I was sitting in the chair. I had my consultation with Eric. My piece is an Irish memorial for my father, who passed away suddenly last May. It took a year of planning what I wanted to get and a year to decide that I was going to do it. I am no stranger to tattoos, but this one definitely has the most meaning behind it. So, naturally, it had to be perfect. It's a very emotional piece for me and is the beginning of the stepping stones to accepting that my father (my best friend) is gone. From the start of my consultation to the end of my first sitting, Eric was completely kind, sympathetic and empathetic to my story. During the consultation he listened intently, gave his artistic discretion and asked all of the right questions. Yesterday, on the actual tattoo day, he had me review his work, made sure that the placing was correct and made sure that I was comfortable. He explained everything that he would be doing and vocalized where he was with the tattoo progress from time to time. He was also extremely gentle through the physical process! Getting your ribs tattooed isn't exactly a cake-walk but he made it so bearable. I haven't been able to stop looking at it since I took the bandages off. It is so beautiful! Today, as I was walking past the washroom at my work, I popped inside - and as I walked by the mirror, I lifted my shirt to take a peek at it! Nothing but smiles on this girls face! Wrapping up my novel here, New Moon went above and beyond all client satisfaction levels, in my opinion. I was so bothered by the last shop cancelling on me - but part of me is glad that they did! It obviously happened for a reason. I got my work done at a much better studio, with a higher level of caring and professionalism. I'm really looking forward to my next appointment in July to finish my piece up! And to future bookings! Thank you, again, Eric - you are amazing, hands down! Thank you, Matty, for getting me in so quick! And thank you to the sweet receptionist at the front desk - for just being so friendly and professional!

Went for a consultation appointment with Erin. She was thorough and provided thoughtful feedback in terms of how realistic my ideas were. Sat down with me and drew out some ideas. All before ten minutes to close. I was grateful as time at New Moon is usually costly since they book so far in advance. Excited to get my first tattoo by the end of the month.

I had a black and grey watercolour lotus done by Tara a couple of months ago and went back last week to complete the piece with a flower of life pattern around the lotus. The tattoo looks amazing! I love it! I had shopped around a lot to find an artist to get this piece done and just couldn't find anyone who seemed to get what I wanted, but Tara did and she did such an amazing job. She is so talented and super friendly. I would definitely go back for more work in the future.

The workers are nice but the skill/professionalism leaves something to be desired.I went in to get snakebites and the piercer, Matt, had to redo the same side 3 times and it's still pretty crooked. I am SO disappointed.He was shaking so, so bad the entire time and I'm not exactly sure why. It was a very chill environment but as soon as he picked up the needle he was visibly shaking.When I drove all the way back to the location to get it adjusted for the third time he same piercer had a very eye-rolling and condescending response at first even though I was the one apologizing for coming back and taking more of his time (even though no one else was there getting pierced)He told me, "Well the woman at the desk and everyone else said they're straight." and shrugged at me.
