Back in August 2017 I went to this other piercing and tattoo parlor to get two anti-helix's done, also known as forward helix's. The piercer was rushed and did not take the time to tend to my needs and concerns. So anyways I will get back to that topic. Later on in September 2017, I went to Black Pearl for a conch piercing with my friend (who got her helix). OMG what a difference in service. Their piercer Jen did an AMAZING job. Very clean, professional, sterile environment, answered any concerns we had, took her time, made sure we were ready, gave me her email for any questions during the healing time, very sweet and payed attention to detail to ensure the piercing was done correctly. 6 months later my conch is fully healed and feels great with no issues during the healing period, whereas my anti-helix's are still healing and tender at times. I thus will never go back to the original piercer. I will always stick with Jen. I also went back to Jen for the second lobe piercing and same thing, amazing service, great healing time and the piercings look wonderful! GO TO JEN SHE'S AMAZINGGGG. Read Less

Becky is incredible. The tattoo she gave me is my favourite of mine. It healed beautifully and needed no touchups even though there was a lot of solid black. Her way of handling my nerves was expert. Of the tattoos I have (and I have several), my tattoo from Becky at Black Pearl is my least favourite. The experience was just okay...I felt like Becky was tolerating my presence more than anything else, even though I tipped well and was having a design that she drew tattooed. I think she's a lovely artist, but I'm just not thrilled with my tattoo. I, and others I showed my tattoo to, knew the day I got it that I was going to need a touch-up. I wonder if this is because it seemed like she rushed through the colouring of my tattoo? It ended up looking patchy. Also, I didn't receive any printed after-care instructions, which I have always received in the past. It shouldn't matter if a client has prior ink, it may have been a while. Before Christmas I got my nipples pierced by Jen, she was extremely polite and quite calming considering I was very nervous for my piercing! Everything was super professional and clean, I wouldn't go anywhere else for a piercing! Read Less

The piercer Jen always comes into my shop to chat and say hi...I've yet to have a day off where I can go get poked by her, but I have no doubt in my mind that I would feel 100% comfortable in her work. I've recently gotten both my sideburns pierced by jeanvieve and LOVED my experience with her she's very polite , great person to talk too but most of all she's VERY PROFESSIONAL I've got other ideas for piercings and I'm deff going to her for them.
