I booked an appointment for my friend and I to get our navels pierced together. On the day of our piercing we walked into the shop to find it to be extremely clean. We where welcomed as soon as we walked in with our piercer waiting for us (we were late for traffic but still had zero issues) our piercer looked at my friends navel then mine and decided she wouldn’t be right for one biased of shape, luckily for me I was good to get it. My friend decided to get her cartilage pierced instead so we both could get a piercing. The piercing room was very clean and professional looking. I was terrified of needles and only had my ears pierced with the piercing gun before. The piercer walked us through the cleaning routine and how to keep our piercings in perfect shape, while my navel jewellery was being sterilized in the same room. I was walked through all the steps of the piercing and was assured i was in good hands. Needless to say the piercing was a breeze! I was amazed and absolutely in love with my piercing. My friend got hers done and we where both happy! I love the shop and the environment everyone was very friendly it was extremely clean and very comfortable inside. I would 100% recommend getting a piercing here, from friendly staff, to clean environment. Ive been a regular here for almost two years now. I am currently in the middle of a full back piece that i am already so in love with, and have many other tattoos and piercings from here. The shop is always kept in the most clean conditions! The staff are always kind, fun and inclusive. Best parlor around with the most tallented artists. My daughter and I both got tats on our first visit to Waycool Tattoo. The staff are all very friendly and helpful too. We were a walk in apt and we did not have to wait very long. Our artist was Brandon. Simply put...The Best! He is very professional but very engaging. My daughter was very comfortable with him. Everything is sterile which was most important to me. I was really impressed they even cleaned the table we laid on between doing the 2 tats. Brandon told us he treats his clients as his wife or daughter, meaning if he wouldn't put the tat on them he will give you honest advice about what you want done! What a wonderful experience!! This was the the first tattoo for all 3 of us!! We had chosen tattoos that were very personal and meaningful and Casey was maticulous with the planning, placement and execution. In addition he made us feel completely comfortable and put all of our fears and anxiety to rest quickly. We are extrememly happy with the finished product. The first time I went into the shop- it was great! The staff were friendly and really focused on communicating and understanding what I wanted - they were welcoming and I was really impressed. The place is always clean and I like the set up of booths. However, since my first tattoo I've been to the shop two more times. The second time my first artist no longer worked there so I got paired with a different artist and he did a terrible job. (he ruined a letter in the middle of a word and by making that single letter much bigger than the rest- it looked sloppy) So I went back but they said it was impossible to correct the mistake. Because of that I took a break from tattoos until my most recent visit. This tattoo was a really tiny one yet it cost more than my other tattoo which is 5 times the size. I felt really ripped off especially since he didn't properly quote me before tattooing. I left with a sour taste in my mouth since they charged me double what they should've. The current staff are not very friendly, unprofessional, and were slacking off. The tattoo itself took 10 minutes, but I was there an hour and a half because no one had their act together. I was loyal to this tattoo shop but now after my past 2 visits, I think its time to look for a new place. In conclusion, it was a good shop 6 years ago when I started tattooing but now the staff are not devoted to service and they're really overcharging clients. Its a shame since it's so close by and I have many more tattoos planned- but it'll have to be done at a shop with better care for their clients. Read Less

Went here today to get a simple script tattoo. I'm decently tattooed, so I know small script tattoos aren't looked at as anything challenging or complex. I was pleasenty surprised by how nice and dedicated everyone I interacted with was to make my experience a good one. I didn't catch the guy at the front desks name, dreads and some awesome horns. He instantly made me feel comfortable and at ease. Brandon was absolutely top notch, one of the best artists I've had tattoo me. Not just because of his talent, (though he does do some mean script) but more for his patience and understanding that even though it was a four word script tattoo it was still important to me to have it look the way I wanted. When I wasn't crazy about the font he drew up he let me browse a site to find the right font, and didn't rush me even though I was causing a delay in the shops day. Very, very impressed with the positive, professional attitude and vibe in this shop. I've been into dozens and haven't found one this professional and welcoming to every person who walks in the door. I've heard mixed reviews from Way Cool but I figured I should have just gone there myself to experience it and I think I would have been better off if I didn't. Initially, I had just gone for a piercing (done by Tom) and he was extremely thorough in regards to the procedure as well as aftercare but when I needed help putting the jewelry back in, I was charged $5 which I thought was kinda weird because I know of NO place that charges just to put put jewelry in. When getting my tattoo done I had some of the other artists ask me the reasoning behind my tattoo and upon trying to explain, they ended up laughing and ridiculing what I wanted; I thought it was so incredibly rude and just unprofessional overall. Apart from that, I was told that if I ever needed a touch up, I could come back and that it'd be free. So I called to make an appointment for a touch up and I was told (rather rudely) that Way Cool doesn't do free touch ups and I'd have to pay about $80.Apart from these incidents, they tend to bad mouth other tattoo shops; I get that when you're representing a business, you have to make it look good but my saying crappy things about other places, it's just unprofessional.Overall, Way Cool (from my experience) just seems like a place where they like to rip you off. I've received a piercing here in the past, and was quite pleased with the piercer's knowledge and information.  I decided to return for a tattoo - mistake.All I had done was a small piece of script, copied directly from a font I had printed out.  Despite this, each letter looks noticeably different, and some of the letters are not even.  I should have known better, however, because even before the artist did his work, he made no conversation with me unless I asked.  He even criticized piercings and piercers themselves, which I found completely unprofessional and rude - he does, after all, work in a tattoo AND piercing shop.   It was as though he wanted to get the ink over and done with as quickly as possible.  Even when I asked for after-care advice, his recommendations were minimal.  When you go to get a tattoo, you expect the artist to actually care about your tattoo.  After all, his ink will be on you for life.  The staff at Way Cool Tattoos Oakville did not give this impression at all.  If you want to feel like a valid customer, do not go here.
