Got my nose pierced here back in August. Piercer was really nice, friendly and knowledgeable about piercing care. 1.5- 2 weeks in, the piercing healed nicely until my boyfriend kissed me. Not joking, the entire piercing was pulled out from a 2 second kiss. I went to a piercing shop in London (where I go to school) to ask them to put it back in and they refused. They said the quality of the jewelry did not pass standards and they would not be liable for it. Exact words “this is a one size fits all piece of junk made in China”. He then said that not only was he not surprised that it fell out so easily (because it was a twist in, did not have a backing), but that they pierced it in an awful spot that made my nose look longer and wider. Today at Good Point I had a horrible experience with the front desk service and was unable to get my tattoo. Two weeks prior of my scheduled tattoo, during the consultation I showed pictures of the tattoo I wanted. The front desk girl took 2 seconds to look at the photo reference and did not ask any questions. I ended up getting booked with a tattoo artist incapable of doing the style. The girl blamed it on me saying I did not give proper photo references, meanwhile I showed the exact same photos during consultation. I was unable to get the tattoo I wanted.Unfortunately this experience completely turned me off from Good Point and I would not come here. I know a handful of people who have came here for tattoos because the artists are great. Front desk service needs to ask more questions and concerns based on the clients needs before booking artists. Got my first tattoo here a while back. Terrible experience. The artist was seemingly irritable that day, wanted to rush through my tattoo. He was rude and impatient with me. I returned a couple years later to get a piercing and I had the same experience but with one of their female employees. She was very condescending and judgmental towards me. I was excited to visit the shop when it first opened up (as the location is so close to my home) but I was quickly disappointed by their service. Read Less

I am generally a particular individual by nature and after searching high and low for a Tattoo shop, I decided on Good Point Tattoos in Oakville. Michael Kenny was recommended to me by Brett, the main contact at Good Point Tattoo shop. I have to admit I was skeptical because I was not familiar with Michael’s work, but I was assured I was in good hands for the script tattoos I wanted. To say the least, Michael did a fantastic job! His line work is exceptional and after he did ...my first tattoo, I was back within one month to have him re-do a previous tattoo done by another artist some years ago. Michael is friendly, accommodating and punctual and you will not be disappointed with his work. Just a LITTLE pricey, but I do believe you get what you pay for and it was totally worth it! I had piercings done here years ago and the staff were always friendly, so I had no problem recommending my mom to get her tattoo here. She went in on her own for a consultation and was treated extremely poorly by Mike. He told her she was wasting his time and to "figure out what you want, lady." If it weren't for the $150 deposit ($150?? For a tiny tattoo?) I would have had her go elsewhere. She came home nearly in tears from the consultation. An extremely frustrating process, and heartbreaking to see my mom go through that. I will not be recommending anyone else to Good point, ESPECIALLY not with Mike. Read Less

This place is great depending on who your artist is. Sam has done a few of mine and some friends tattoos, and she's amazing. So gentle, easy going and really sweet. I'd highly recommend her. However, Mike on the other hand is a whole other story. He is so rude to customers, very loud and outspoken. And from what i've read and also witnessed, a lot of things people want from him he "can't" do. i don't know if it's laziness or if he just sucks, but i wasn't impressed. He is rough with the needles and spending two hours with him is just too much. I don't know how he still has a job there, because he isn't professional what so ever and i was very disappointed. Had a really good experience here, and especially with tattoo artist Dijan. He listened to what I wanted - discouraged me (politely) from an idea I now agree I would have regretted - and suggested some other options. I took his advice and couldn't be happier with the tattoo or service. After 4 hours of work, he finished but then realized there was one very small detail (that I nor anyone would have noticed) that could be better. He "suited up" again and finished it. I had a memorial portrait of my dog done by Dijon, A+++ Dijon is a perfectionist and I'm thrilled with the end result, he was very understanding when I needed to take a break and move around (go for a smoke) as well as near the end about 5 hours in it was starting to get a bit sore. Dijon put a spray on to help relieve the pain (which was minimal due to Dijon's light touch) but more than willing to accommodate me and help make this a great experience. 6 1/2 hours well spent and I will for sure be back to see Dijon for my next piece as well as recommend him and the shop to everyone.
