Visited the shop yesterday while I was visiting Niagara Falls and got two helix piercings from the owner, James who was very nice. As soon as I walked in, he acknowledged me right away, asked me what I was looking to get and immediately started setting up. He also told me the price before I signed the release form, which I appreciated. The prices here are awesome: $40 per piercing with jewelry and taxes included. I'm from the states and I pay around $80 just for one piercing, so this shop is definitely doing it right. The piercing was quick and painless and I was in and out within 15 minutes. Good service, wife and I got 2 basic tattoos. 2 different artists. Both were gentlemen. However, wife's tattoo was not as originally negotiated and needs touch up. My tattoo has healed well , maybe needs some touch up. Will change to 5 stars if touch ups are done. Clean shop , felt safe. Read Less

Appointment was made for 7. Didn't get started till 930/10. Was rude and grumpy. And didn't work with me. Had to change the tattoo I wanted because of various reasons that didn't make sense and he got frustrated with me. A true artist would know how to work with different skin types and suggest options. His only other option was anywhere but where I wanted the tattoo. Made me feel uncomfortable and it took less then hr and I feel like i was over charged. After waiting 2+hrs I just wanted to have something done. And for something to be permanent on your body you never want to feel that way. Unprofessional will never go back. Read Less

Dawg Pound tattoos is 5 star for sure. I have had two tattoos done here. Recently one by Dan Kozina. I find this shop welcoming and friendly. Many shops today make the customer feel like they shouldn't be there. Talking to Dan was like talking to an old friend. His work was fantastic. I went in there to get what I thought was a simple tattoo but Dan gave me so much more. He really went beyond what I had hoped for. His attention to detail is outstanding . Everyone was so friendly. I swear by this place. I travel from Sarnia just to get tattooed here. Just got my 4th tattoo with them (I have 13 but will never go elsewhere since discovering Dawg Pound).. It's my second cover up. James custom designed it and was professional, friendly and fast. It's the one place I'd go and not even question who's doing the tattoo because they're all great artists. I decided to get a tattoo at the spur of the moment on Canada day of all days and Lloyd said of course he would fit me in! He checked on me many times while I was waiting and helped me perfect my design. Me and my friends came here for tattoos. we are from out of town... my friend got something as small as a quarter, and i got something else that was the similar size. it's cash only, and the minimum of the shop was way too expensive for what we wanted, so we tried to crack a deal, but they said no in a rude way - which was fine, but then i asked to fill the time with something else very small and the guy said no - that's what i was pissed off about. customer service could be way better. you cant even watch your friend get a tattoo, you gotta sit on the couch in the lobby all alone. Getting a tattoo is as much about meshing with the artist as it is about the artwork itself. The experience makes the memory. I went to a few places in Niagara, and every one of the staff I met were jackasses...except these folks. The staff was friendly and personable, and worked with us to get exactly what we wanted. Not only that, they accommodated a group of seven (7!) people that just wandered in off the street, and gave us just what we wanted. Love the piercing hated how they ripped me off. I am traveling from the US came and read a lot of good reviews on this place. Paid for it and didn't realize that I gave the piercer way too much money. $80 in US money is $106 Canadian money. Pocketed $40 by not converting my money and will not allow me to get that money back saying US money is the same as Canadian money. NO. I'm very dissappionted. Read Less

I'm not very happy. Visiting Niagara Falls with 2 very close friends. We decided we wanted to get a tat. Keep in mind we are all grown ass women in our 40's. We saw the tattoo shop across the street. I went over over to ask for prices. The man at the counter was talking to a couple and then started talking to another guy who came in after me. Still ok. It wasn't until he left that dude at the counter walked away, no one acknowledged me at all. I am a 6'2 female. I don't blend in.... u didn't miss me...... I don't understand why I was overlooked. I am disappointed. I did not receive any service. They lost my business ×3 really cause that was 3 tats. I have family in Niagara Falls so I will be letting them know about the lack of service we received. Read Less
