Went in as a walk in because I really wanted/needed to get something done. The owner walked us over and was very kind and sweet! Very formative regarding details and told us stories about the shop. Joe/Joseph helped us out. He was very gentle with the process and the experience was very relaxing. It was one of the most painless tat i’ve gotten. Also he was very patient regarding what I wanted, since it was last minute and had to make changes with the font. Prices are reasonable and great. Got a tattoo from Logan about a month ago now. It was a great experience right from the consultation. Logan was very fast in responding to my emails. From the initial email to leaving with my new tattoo was in a span of less than a week. Space is very clean and all artists take every precaution to ensure proper infection control. Got a small script tattoo on my inner bicep by Joe (Nedo) today and he did a fantastic job! It turned out exactly how I envisioned it :). He explained to me the risks of it fading faster since it was very thin script (which I already knew going in) and he made sure I was okay with that before proceeding. Came here to get my first piercings done; both lobes and a cartilage. Marlon was my piercer and he was amazing. Very throughout explanation and showed me what equipment he was going to use. It stung a bit at first but then it went away. Been about two weeks since I got them done and they've seem to be healing well so far. The cartilage still gets red and hurts when it touches something but that's pretty normal since it's only been two weeks. The lobes stopped hurting like the next day. The pricing is pretty good too; $20 per lobe and $40 for my cartilage. If you pay in cash there's no tax. Overall I would recommend this place if you're coming to get a piercing done. They have two locations in pmall and the one upstairs is the one that does the piercings. Read Less

Decided to pop by a tattoo shop to get a cartilage piercing. Although it was a bit of a wait for the piercer to arrive, I was shopping around the mall. When I returned for the piercing, it was quite a quick process. I was super nervous at first, but the tattooist and piercer made it a fun experience throughout. Got my third lobe piercing at Phat buddha located in Pacific mall, and had a pretty good experience. Came here at around 2-3PM and the place was pretty much empty except for a couple other people browsing around. Didn't get my piercers name but he was quite nice and the whole process was quick from start to finish. He sanitized the earrings and pierced with a needle, which didn't hurt and was quick. Total for both lobes was around $57 including taxes, which isn't bad! I believe the prices for some of the other piercings are also decently priced. Read Less

Got my first tattoo with Marvin here yesterday. I was a bit nervous since it was my first tattoo, however, Marvin was very professional and made me feel calm the whole time. The technique he has is phenomenal, the shading and just making the tattoo look real in general. I highly recommend this place as the price is extremely fair and the artwork is amazing. Got my first tattoo done by Marvin - absolutely a great experience! He's very patient and his cool calm and collected demeanor makes you feel super at ease and confident in trusting in him. The shop's staff and atmosphere was completely welcoming and not intimidating at all. My cousin, sister and I came in for their last Friday of the month special with a concept, and not only was Marvin patient with us, he even went beyond out of his way to help us make our concept into a piece that all of us loved. I did my first two tattoos with "mock shops" who pose as artists - back when I was in my teens. Years later, while I loved my tattoos, they weren't up to any caliber that I thought to be proud of - I found Marvin and first asked him to "re-do" the art that I already had, he cleaned up the lines, filled in where he needed to and I gave him full creative freedom to "clean me up" and that he did! I'm in love with and proud of my art now - he's added a half sleeve and back tattoo for me too. I trust Marvin, I trust him enough to freehand on me and I've ALWAYS been impressed with the results. Find a real artist like Marvin, he uses so many techniques to display his art, ink is just one of them and with a skill set like that, you can't go wrong. I showed up with a pic and thinking I knew what I wanted. Of course, I got what I wanted, but so much more. To begin, Rob (also the owner) pointed out the importance of having a tattoo that is at least somewhat unique to oneself. Then, having thought it through, he significantly modified and added details to the pic I brought that gave it personal meaning and serious pop. And by combining various techniques (amazing 3D realism in animal and floral depictions, flawless and personalized freehand script, and creative use of tribal and other accents) he created one of the most original, most detailed, most complete, most impressive, and most eye-catching tattoos that you will ever see. Indeed, I have personally met no one having such a unique, high-quality tattoo. Plus, Rob is just a great guy to go through the process with, very tuned-in to what one is looking for, and committed to making the whole experience as smooth and satisfying as possible. As for cost, the price ended up being better, by comparison, than anything offered by the several competitors I checked with. Indeed, none of them had bothered to take me through the process of creating a custom masterpiece. Rather than being concerned with what I'd be satisfied with long-term, they seemingly wanted to charge nearly as much for simply copying the pic I found on the Internet. Moreover, Rob never stopped thinking about ways to improve it from the time we met to the end of the second and final session. In short, I could not have been more impressed or happy with the experience. UPDATE: I got Rob to do a second tattoo, a classic set of Praying Hands on my inner forearm. My first impression was they're nice but then they started to make fun of my friend and I because we were being picky (no shit it's our body that's getting tatted). Overpriced as hell. I said fine I'll give it a shot. My tattoo looked decent while my friends tattoo looked like a kid drew it. The guy who did our tattoo was super rude and inconsiderate and I didn't appreciate it. Months later now, I see that the tattoo has some spaces that aren't filled in and it's a little bumpy....wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy for real. Read Less

I had the privilege of getting my rose half sleeve done by Phil from Phat Buddha! Booked an appointment the day before and came in at 1 the next day not knowing what to expect. Phil walked me through the entire process and ensured I was satisfied with the sketch before starting the sleeve.. The entire process was relatively painless as Phil did his best to be gentle yet efficient. I was mind blown with how detailed and realistic the sleeve looked throughout the tatting process. Everyone at Phat Buddha was down to earth and the environment was definitely comforting considering how I had to sit there for 7 hours straight while Phil diligently worked! I waited until my tattoo healed before writing a review. Now that it's fully healed, I am incredibly satisfied with the work that Rob did! I've gotten tons and tons of compliments (three roses on my forearm), and I never hesitate to tell people where I got it done. Initially, the roses were meant to go around some lettering I had gotten done years ago, but I asked Rob what he thought of just covering it up. At first, he was skeptical, but once he started working on the outline, the cover up ended up being the best possible option. Rob did such a great job that people can't even tell it's a cover up! Service was fantastic, and the wait times were short. I booked the appointment on a Sunday, got my first session done two Fridays after, and the second session was scheduled a week and a half later. I was feeling kind of sick during my second session, and Rob went and got me a hot chocolate -- talk about going above and beyond for your clients!
