Anna did my first tattoo on Saturday in memory of my grandpa. Anna exceeded my expectations and made me feel 100% comfortable. The tattoo was everything I had hoped for and then some. The only thing that would have made my experience better is if I was told how to take care of my tattoo after. I was not told anything about after care. Anna is my go to artist, but this tattoo shop is incredible. Each artist visits one another to see what the other one is working on, it shows incredible team work, and shows that all artists are interested in all clients that have tattoos done here. The shop is very clean and very welcoming right when you walk through the door. Last Friday I sat in this shop for about 8 hours getting my tattoo. I listened to the way they deal with customers in person, on the phone and the way... they talk to each other as colleagues, and again I'm nothing but impressed. I live in Cambridge, I drive a little over an hour to get work done by Anna. Anna is incredibly talented, and if she has a good idea she will forsure tell you and give you options. She's easy to talk to which makes your tattoo sessions go by very fast! Getting a tattoo is an important decision. I did the research and made the decision to use True Love. I spoke with True Love two weeks before the tattoo date and told them what my girlfriend and I wanted...even sent through the graphic. The artist - Dustin Parkes - was selected. True Love called two days before to confirm our appointment at noon May 03rd. We arrived twenty five minutes earlier to fill out the necessary paperwork....but no Dustin Parkes. He eventually wandered in at 12:05 and walked right past us and made no effort to speak to us...let alone apologize for being late. He then began to set up his room and twenty-five minutes passed...but still no Dustin Parkes. I eventually went to the front desk and asked what was going on. I said I thought we would "pull the plug". He asked if we wanted to speak to Dustin and I said "sure"! Dustin said some things had come up in his life that morning and he was late - "that's just the nature of this business" he said. No surprise, - we left. I could not recommend this establishment. Tattoos parlors MUST be professional. They lost our emailed graphic and couldn't be on time, nor apologize when they were. It's not the nature of any business to treat clients poorly. I run my own business, and the client, and service to the client is always at the top of the priority list. True love has amazing artists and truly care about their clients. They are clean and creative and engaging people. I had a reaction to the bandaging of both of my tattoos (sensitive skin - Anthony took note and bandaged it differently the second time but alas, my skin did not cooperate) and they've made a point to not only take time to check me out afterward at the studio but Nohl took the time to check on a particularly bad bandaging reaction over the Christmas holidays and reassure me and keep me calm over the whole process.
