Long story. Short version: went for a piercing, owner treated his staff badly, wrote a review on their Facebook, owner cussed me out on review. Have met a couple people who got tattoos there, latest one looks badly infected on a guy who has multiple tattoos and knows how to care for them. All around bad place. Read Less

It was just after High School Graduation when my buddies and I got the wild idea to go backpacking. Where did we choose you may be thinking? Europe. Get that whole "worldly" experience of being mugged in many foreign languages? Not us. No sir. We weren't about to end up in some well while a mad man above us yells "It runs the lotion on its skin". No sir We picked the lesser of evils and went with our friendly loveable neighbors to the north.CANADA! So it was set. We p...acked our gear and headed north. Weeks passed. Many fun time have were had. Excellent yarns to spin for the grandkids. Surviving only on the finest of French fries and gravy. All was well till one night I lost a bet . A bet I was sure to regret for the rest of the trip at least. Never bet on the U.S. in a curling match. The loser of the bet was to get man's tattoo. A tattoo that would make all others bow. A barbed wire tattoo. Nothing says I came here to chew bubble gum n kick ass like a barbed wire tattoo. That is when we settled on Shogun Tats. Excellent establishment. Clean. Bright light. Comfy chairs. Sharp pointy objects. Heck yeah. The young artist drew up the tat and was getting ready. That was till the owner came out raving and babbling like one of them YouTube videos of the children freaking out over their last candy bar being eaten or them sweet 16 videos where the little girl isn't happy with her Brand New Lamborghini. Yes sir. Quite the spectacle indeed. A grown man yelling like an spoiled child. Only after the tattoo was finished did I count my lucky stars. Artists on staff are top shelf. Boss man. Little rough around the edges. Definitely not what I would have expected from such loveable peoples. My daughter and I came in to see Anna for a tattoo tonight. My daughter was familiar with her work and felt it would be good fit for what we wanted. My daughter had writing done which matched my handwriting which is exactly what she wanted and was very happy with it. I had a realistic dragonfly done. The attention to detail and quality was beyond fantastic. I was so moved and happy with the end results I felt speechless and the time she took which to get it just right obviously shows the talent of Anna. Amazing artist, I have been going to shogun for a few years and have spent a lot of time at the shop both getting tatted and watching friends get ink done !
