I have 13 piercings; I've gotten the majority of them at Red koi. I've NEVER HAD ANY ISSUES with any of my piercings done by them. The atmosphere in Red Koi is laid back yet still quite professional. I went in to get my septum pierced. Jay attempted to do this piercing and pierced me completely wrong, where I had to sit there for at least 10 minutes in extreme amounts of pain with him trying to get the needle through my nose, but he couldn’t get it through, because he did it WRONG. Thank god another piercer there was Morgan, who had to REPIERCE me again, but did it perfect this time. I came home to a hole so far down in my nose, it’s unbelievable that he thought he was doing that correctly, and that he’s a certified piercer. Jay does excellent tattoos but do not get him to pierce, go to Morgan. Will not be recommending Red Koi for piercings. Read Less

I have gotten many tattoos done by both Morgan and Paige. Jay has tattooed my friends. All of the artists are very friendly and it is a very welcoming place. I have even sat there and played my own music in the shop while waiting for my stuff to be drawn up. Paige especially is very good. Her work is amazing, very dark and clear. Both Morgan and Paige did a great job on all their pieces and were considerate to me while doing so. I would be, and plan to be back to have both these artists tattooing me (Morgan did a spacey design on me especially well). My friends tattoos he got done by Jay are also very well done and detailed, and he seemed to be happy with the service. My only complaint is in pricing. The pricing is not always done hourly. One time I was over charged for a tattoo because it was "traditional" which just isn't a thing. With the amount of tattoos I've gotten here I can't say I care too much about being over charged slightly a few times. But as a returning customer it is uneasy knowing what your tattoo might cost. I went into the Red Koi for my first tattoo, brought in drawings and Morgan traced my shoulder for size and design. A month later I called to find out status of design and was advised that he is still drawing it but would finish it that evening and call me the next day. I have called and left 3 messages since over the span of 1.5 months and no one has called me back. Although I like their drawings, their lack of integrity and work ethic is what will make me not go to this shop. Too bad. Read Less

I've had two small tattoos done by Morgan, which I had no problem with. I had my top belly button done well by Star and she did my bottom belly button on a later date. When my friend and I went in, the entire shop smelt like marijuana. It is obvious these people smoke on their break and come back to tattoo and pierce people. I understand some people are able to function normally when they are high, but clearly Star can not. She pierced my belly button incredibly slanted. They also do not verify their customer's ages and will pierce and tattoo people under the age requirement. Not only am I unimpressed with my experience, but after reading the owner's replies to negative reviews I will certainly not be coming back. Having a "holier-than-thou" attitude, poor grammar and terrible service will not bring in more customers. Read Less

I have gotten a few piercings here, and always had a good experience and was happy with the piercings, but my latest piercing has caused me hell. I got my nipple pierced and its not even, the jewlery was too small that it caused indents and didnt allow for an easy cleaning process. I went to a different piercer to have them put in a longer bar and it took the girl 10-15 minutes to un-screw the balls even while using needle nose pliers. Apparently the balls weren't screwed on ...properly. Had this piercing done in November and still to this day it bleeds, and has crusty's that are painful to get rid of. I have always had great experiences and felt welcomed but even this time I felt like I was a burden and the piercer didnt come off across as confident in doing the piercing. My experience at this tattoo shop was awful. Extremely unprofessional.The work that was apparently garenteed was not .The so called artist that was working on me, left or got fired or whatever. So when I went in to get some more work done on the tattoo that I paid 400 dollers for. They basically told me I was out of luck because they weren't honouring his work. Now I am left with a huge mess a huge permanent mess on my forarm. That not only embarrasses me but my children. When it's hot as hell in summer it sucks wearing long sleeves i am 43 and this is not my first tattoo. I had better service from some drunk guy at a party when I was 20. If your company is willing to try and fix this i am willing to listen. I'm an easy going person and I am extremely reasonable. Read Less

I love the red Koi. I have gotten 2 tattoos here and plan on many more. Paige does a fantastic job, for a reasonable price. All the staff are very friendly and it has a nice welcoming feeling on the inside. I've never felt rushed or like i was not in control of my own tattoo. Thank you guys so much!!!! Read Less

Morgan is very friendly and willing to do the tattoos we wanted. I had been there a few months ago with my friend and we both got a great tattoo and my friend had a piercing. The second time, I took my daughter to have one of her tats fixed (that was done at another place) and we both got new tats.Read Less
